The Pussycat Dolls has been a long established outlet for sexy Americans such as Christina Aguilera and Carmen Electra to dress up and perform a burlesque routine. However, apparently for the full time troupe this just isn't enough; they need a singing career. Which frankly is fair enough - I don't complain when the video comes on.
Strangely enough Don't Cha isn't purely eye candy; the mute button on your remote can just about relax thanks to the funky swift beat, controlled and competent vocals. There aren't any cringe-worthy moments (lyrics aside - obviously I wish my girlfriend was hot like them) where notes that should be left well alone are attempted.
However not even Busta Rhymes' cameo appearance can prevent Don't Cha from seeming like nothing more than a promo for some generic product aimed at young males. It just doesn't really feel like a song, although success for this sextuplet beckons.
