Actress to be directed in indie feature by Nick Hamm

Krysten Ritter (“Breaking Bad”) has signed on to star in the indie feature “Killing Bono,” opposite Ben Barnes.

The film, to be directed by Nick Hamm, is based on the book “Killing Bono: I Was Bono’s Doppleganger,” chronicling the early days of U2 from a rival band’s perspective. Principle production will take place in Belfast and London beginning in January.

Charlie Cox and Robbie Sheehan are also starring. “Bono” is produced by Mark Huffam, Piers Tempest and Ian Flooks.

Ritter recently signed on to star in helmer Amy Heckerling’s romantic comedy “Vamps” and is lensing the Starz comedy “Gravity” in New York as the series lead. She will be seen next in DreamWorks’ comedy “She’s Out of My League.”She’s repped by WME The Group Entertainment.
