Discussion
Sony got a technical foul for delay of E3 for going over 90 minutes
It's not that amazing.
Sony displayed here that it can not only take a lead but also follow it up aggresively and mantain it.
This is the reason why i always choose and support Playstation. For some reason they never give in to the hype and trend and keep doing what they do. They understood that damn well last gen when everyone else was just flooding the market with fps's but sony kept slowly pushing out those varied and wierd exclusives.
They already knew people would want a new game from souls director, so they made it an exclusive.
Sony and Nintendo arent new at this like that other company that kinda shows in their game catalog and their policies.
oh noes, sony is jumping into the TV train… and not so much exclusives… damn Bloodborne CGI only, no gameplay :(
I guess my PS4 will stick with a bunch of indies again this year… LBP3 sounds fun enough though...
Thanks so much for this. There was too much to even retain. Anyone who didn't see something to get excited about yesterday might as well give up being a gamer.
Congrats to both Sony and MS, the upcoming line up of games looks great.
It's a great time to be a gamer, Fanboys on all sides can suck it!
Uncharted 4
Halo 5
Bloodborne
Fable
Nice round up.
The Far Cry 4 gameplay was the highlight for me, but the announcements for Dead Island 2, Little Big Planet 3, Bloodborne and the Grim Fandango remastered edition were most welcome.
Abzu and Entwined look intriguing. I had hoped for more on Uncharted 4, but it's looking rather nice. The Order is looking more and more linear, but I'm still interested in that game for the setting and story. The Batman: Arkham Knight footage looked cool.
Not sure why everyone's moaning, because I enjoyed the Sony and MS conferences.
A genuine curiosity to me is why a developer would sign an exclusivity deal with either console. Why limit your presence in the market? I understand that there's probably an immediate financial incentive to do so, but wouldn't it pay off in the long run to open yourself up to more sales for the owners of the other console?
sony failed on all levels this time. the x1 showed up and showed it did in style at that. 1080 is no longer a talking point sony or console haters. they introduced t.v on thier console and which to my surprise sony ponies eat it up like water and soup. they have nothing but indies which is always bad but when it is your selling point that sucks. microsoft did there job and did it well. they have more games and better games the way it looks since most games are just repeats on both consoles sony did have anything to bring to the table this year.
So is Gamespot going to give any coverage at all to to the Xbox One or have they pretty much completely sold out to Sony? Explains all the PS4 advertisments on here....
If you like games...you liked the Xbox conference this year.
Sony's conference was poor. Next year I will write a letter that just says "Hey, Sony...how about releasing some actual exclusive games in the first year of your console? And no, a bunch of indies, remakes/remasters and FTP doesn't count."
Wasn't there some sort of announcement involving Ultra Street Fighter 4?
Thank you! I had trouble sorting through all the stuff in the press conference.
MS > Sony this year IMO.
Honestly it could of been better but at least they delivered. Sony and Microsoft did awesome this year and I'm looking forward to their games. EA on the other hand . . . What a total mess this year.
@Ahiru-San A lot of PS4 game trailers are in-game footage like Uncharted 4, The Order 1886 and Drive Club.
@youre_a_sheep I'm getting real tired of all the hate and so many people being unhappy with every d@mn thing. There was a ton of good stuff shown yesterday. Buy something and play it!
@homey_d_clown Rabid fanboys are just part of The Man's master plan to keep real gamers down.
@Lucky-B
First you have to seperate the In-House developers like Naughty Dog from the 3rd party developers like Ubisoft. In-House means they are owned by that console and all games are exclusive.
3rd Party Dev's are sometimes given financial incentives to keep a title exclusive, for example Titanfall, I believe MS paid $50 million for it to be exclusive.
Come on dude, I brandbitch some for xbox, but this is way to try hard,
@kane6911 everything you said screams "Fanboy!!".
"they have nothing but indies which is always bad".
Uncharted 4
The Order 1886
Bloodborne
LBP3
Let It Die
Grim Fandango
And all the other multiplat.
Yeah. You're making a lotta sense.
The Xbox's conference was earlier in the day, so their reports came before Sony's. You can find them if you look
@freedomzealot they made this exact same article for XBox. And they made individual articles with "editors opinions" for the XBox reveal content too.
@TheGreatOne023 Xbox One got no games
@TheGreatOne023
Games is really where it counts in the end and like last gen Xbox seems to have the most and best exclusives. Now that it is the same price as PS4 I think Sony is in trouble having no games to showcase for 2014.
@TheGreatOne023 And they will reply " Hey, TheGreatOne023 stop being an over entitled ****. We'l release what we want to release and if you have a problem with that, tough luck. Someone with such an arrogant name needs to look at themselves before abusing others. We don't care what you think."
Or they wouldn't waste their time writting back to an insignificant piece of trash like you. No one gives a damn what a loser like you thinks. Have a nice day pig.
@bunchanumbers that was just PS Now Beta, which will allow users to try games including USF4.
@shinjuki i'm not for ms or sony, and i think your opinion is not right. none of them was very exciting. and i think the number of ps exclusives was more than xb.
@Master_Turismo Dragon Age looks fantastic and Mirror's Edge 2 is coming. That's all I needed to hear from EA.
@Master_Turismo To be frank, the only thing I play from EA is Dragon Age and Mass Effect. I got a little of both, but the rest of the conference was sports, developer diaries, and Battlefield.
@ketsuhige How do you know Uncharted 4 was actual in game footage
@xantufrog @youre_a_sheep It's especially exasperating when all we've heard for half a year is "show us the games and we want them to look next gen". Well there was Batman, Witcher 3, Far Cry 4 etc. with plenty of jaw dropping in-game footage, a few surprises like LBP3, and some games coming very soon. What more does anyone want?
@xantufrog - I have to agree. I thought I was becoming a jaded gamer, but then I read the comments sections on GameSpot and they could give me lessons. Some great stuff has been shown so far, and I'm really looking forward to some of the games that are coming over the next two years.
@homey_d_clown @Lucky-B And only developing for one hardware means that you can push that hardware better.
@ketsuhige If you skip comments from people who can't bother to capitalize or use proper punctuation it saves a lot of wasted time.
@freedomzealot Xbox has the best and most exclusives? Is this supposed to be a joke? Even MS admitted that last gen, Sony had the better exclusives.
@raziel2kain @shinjuki
>i think your opinion is not right
It's an opinion, do you even know what that means?
@raziel2kain @shinjuki But the vast majority of those exclusives are coming out next year. Hype for UC4? Next year. Hype for The Order? Next year. Hype for Bloodborne? Next year. It would be easy to win E3 if all you gotta do is blast a bunch of CG trailers. There's been little gameplay shown between all of them.
@Yomigaeru @Master_Turismo I was kinda hoping for more on Mass Effect to be honest. and Mirror's Edge 2 . . . So much disappointments there.
@youre_a_sheep @xantufrog I don't think they know what they want
@youre_a_sheep @ketsuhige agreed.
@bunchanumbers @raziel2kain @shinjuki
They showed like half the games the Xbox One did too.. Sony mentioned like 10 games maybe with a bunch of fluff between, Xbox packed every single thing they could possibly fit into their 90 minute segment.
Very pleased with Xbox right now. (Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX +α Is the coolest, most fun, amazing, addictive, fulfilling, jampacked, game in the world BTW. 10$ for the best game in the world released in the most legit way possible. So sexy.)
PlayStation looks aight.
Can't WAIT to see what Nintendo has for us tomorrow!
