Wide open spaces

Sydney is a very green city – in more ways than one! The local area features some of the biggest and most iconic public spaces you’ll visit, from historic Hyde Park (dates back to the early 19th century) to the award-winning Paddington Reservoir Gardens, which has re-imagined and revitalised a former water source in a completely different way.

Below you’ll find a list of some of our favourite public parks that are sure to become a few of your new favourites too.

We have included information such as local public transport links and facilities within the parks, such as playgrounds, barbecue and picnic areas as well as sporting grounds and contact details.
