Prince Floris

Floris Frederik Martijn, Prince of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, was born in Nijmegen on 10 April 1975. Prince Floris has three brothers: Prince Maurits, born in 1968, Prince Bernhard, born in 1969, and Prince Pieter-Christiaan, born in 1972.

Education

Prince Floris gained his VWO (pre-university education) certificate at the Christelijk Lyceum in Apeldoorn in 1993. He then spent a year abroad studying foreign languages, including Spanish, before going on to study Dutch corporate and criminal law at Leiden University. He graduated in June 2002.

Marriage and family

Prince Floris married Aimée Söhngen in Naarden on 20 October 2005. The marriage was blessed two days later in the same town. The couple have two daughters and a son, Magali (Magali Margriet Eleonoor), born on 9 October 2007,  Eliane (Eliane Sophia Carolina), born on 5 July 2009 and Willem Jan (Willem Jan Johannes Pieter Floris), born on 1 July 2013.
The family lives in Wassenaar.

Work

Prince Floris started his career as a specialist policy officer with the National Public Prosecutor's Office, before working for ABN AMRO and Deutsche Bank in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. He has worked at KPMG Corporate Finance since 2011.
