Edible Brooklyn Presents Good Beer at the Brooklyn Academy of Music

ediblebkgoodbeer-web1Edible Brooklyn Magazine, which has maintained a strong overview of good eats and drinks in the fine borough, is taking it all to a new level on Wednesday, July 29th. Come by from 4pm to 8pm at the BAM Cafe for a deliciously beer friendly experience. Inspired by their wildly successfully wine event, Uncorked Brooklyn, this new event, Good Beer, seeks to bring our hops and barley and yeast to the forefront with the same respect the grape was previously given.

While tickets don’t come cheap, at $45 a piece purchased here or with a half price discount when you sign up for the magazine subscription at the same link, you do have to recall that the caliber of food and beers to be presented may make it well worth the money. According to the website: Beers will include Brooklyn Brewery, Southampton Publick House, Kelso of Brooklyn, Blue Point Brewery, Allagash, Troegs, Ommegang, Left Hand, Sierra Nevada, Smuttynose, Magic Hat, Victory, Ramstein, Keeghan, Fire Island, Ithaca, and Brooklyn Homebrew. Beer bars to be represented include Jimmy\’s No. 43, Beer Table, and Blind Tiger. Food will be presented by the likes of The Good Fork, Beer Table, Back Forty, Gramercy Tavern, Jasper Hill Farm, No. 7, Widow\’s Hole Oysters, iCi, Porchetta, Co., Rose Water, and Brooklyn Greenmarkets.

With that kind of a collection, good beer will indeed be enjoyed in the company of some great food, and you may even learn a thing or two!
