1913-11-27 (116lbs) Kid Williams nd-w pts 10 Dick Loadman, Riverview AC, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The Milwaukee Sentinel reported that with both men inside 116lbs Williams’ title claim at the weight was on the line in this one. Unfortunately for Loadman the champion treated him as he would a human punch bag from the fourth round onwards, and four times he was rescued by the bell to end the round. Earlier, it had seemed promising for Loadman when he floored Williams in the third, but unable to keep the champion down he was up against it from there on before collapsing from exhaustion at the final bell.
