Global Supply Chain & Logistics Management*

*Commencing in September 2016

Program overview

The Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management option is a specialized joint exchange program between the Sauder School of Business, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen (CUHKSZ). With increasing demand for graduates trained in supply chain and logistics management, the program leverages the strengths of all three institutions in this area.

Am I the right fit for this option?

You must have a strong interest in global perspectives and business practices, and demonstrate the maturity and capability to engage in an international academic experience.

Eligibility and application

Space in this program is limited to 15 students and is by application in November. Details about the application process will be posted in the Fall.

You must meet the eligibility requirements of Go Global for exchange. Selected applicants will be required to submit an exchange application to Go Global for the exchange terms at CBS and CUHKSZ.

You must complete the prerequisite COMM 399 (soon to be renumbered to COMM 204) prior to starting the program. Students in year 2 in 14W can take COMM 399 in Summer 2015. Alternate arrangements for students not able to take summer courses will be considered.  As of 2015/16, COMM 399/204 will be taken in year 2.

Course requirements

You'll spend the first term of your third year at the Copenhagen Business School, the second term at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen, and return to Sauder for your fourth year. Students from all three institutions will complete option core course requirements unique to each partner institution, together in a common cohort.

You must complete the courses in the GSCL option in sequential order. You cannot start the option in fourth year with COMM 414 and 415.

If you fail a required option core course on exchange, you may be permitted to substitute an alternate course at the discretion of the Faculty. If you fail two or more option core courses while on exchange, you will be required to withdraw from the option.
