SANTA CLARA - He already had a punt return for a touchdown against the St. Louis Rams in Week 1, added a kick return for a touchdown against Chicago Bears in Week 3, and in Thursday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers, Seahawks rookie Tyler Lockett recorded his first-career receiving touchdown.
Lockett's scoring catch came in the game's second quarter on a 43-yard pass from quarterback Russell Wilson. The 2015 third-round draft pick used his speed to get behind the San Francisco secondary and ran right under Wilson's throw in the corner of the end zone at Santa Clara's Levi's Stadium. Lockett joins former Seattle wideout Nate Burleson as the only Seahawks players to have receiving, punt return, and kick return touchdowns in a season. Lockett is also the second rookie since 2000 to have at least one of each touchdown in a season and the first since Randall Cobb in 2011.
The touchdown capped a five-play, 90-yard drive that gave Seattle a 17-0 lead. The 43-yard pass was Wilson's longest of the season so far.
