Help Make Mississauga an Idle-Free Zone! Unnecessary vehicle idling is a problem. Emissions from internal combustion engines in car, trucks, motorcycles, buses and boats emit greenhouse gases and air contaminants including carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds that are harmful to the environment and our health. This is why Mississauga launched the Idling Control By-law to encourage its residents to stop unnecessary vehicle idling.
