Publications & Resources
IAIA offers several publications to help share best practices in the field of impact assessment:
Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal (IAPA) – IAIA's premier publication, the IAPA journal is published quarterly and contains a variety of peer-reviewed research articles, professional practice ideas, and book reviews of recently published titles. IAIA members can log in for full access to the content; articles two years old and older are available at no charge to the public.
Newsletter – Also published quarterly, IAIA's newsletter provides current information about association activities and events as well as professional news in the impact assessment field.
Downloadable publications – These include a variety of documents and resources for various audiences, including environmental professionals, students, and the general public.
- Special Publications include a 4-page summary overview of impact assessment, as well as best practice principles in a variety of IA topical areas. Several of the publications are available in other languages as well.
- Reference Documents includes information produced by IAIA as well as links to documents produced by other agencies.
- Special-Interest Newsletters are posted periodically, as they become available, if they are requested, or if they are of special interest to IAIA members and other environmental professionals.
- The IAIA-published book Environmental Methods Review: Retooling Impact Assessment for the New Century is available for free download. Other titles will be added as they become available.
