Lorde has tweeted new dates for her Australian tour after being forced to postpone her concerts Down Under earlier this year due to illness.

The Kiwi singer was set to start her tour of Australia in Melbourne on April 24 but cancelled on doctor's advice and later revealed she had a chest infection.

On Sunday, Lorde, aka Ella Yelich O'Connor, posted a picture on her twitter account that looked like a text message listing new Australian tour dates.

"AT LONG LAST- australian tour dates" the 17-year-old tweeted, alongside the picture of the text.

In the text, the tour dates kick off in Perth on July 5 and finish on July 20 in Brisbane.

In her next tweet, Lorde replied to one of her twitter followers who asked: "sale dates?".

"as soon as i have a ticket link and information for people who previously bought tickets i'll post it!" the singer replied.

Lorde's Australian tour dates according to the singer's Twitter are:

July 5 - Challenge Stadium, Perth.

July 8 - EC Theatre, Adelaide

July 11 & 12 - The Hordern Pavilion, Sydney

July 15 & 16 - Festival Hall, Melbourne

July 19 - Entertainment Centre, Newcastle

July 20 - Riverstage, Brisbane
