My role in Tamaar Padaar will be a surprise: Srinda
Radhika C Pillai | TNN | Sep 6, 2014, 12.00 AM IST Prithviraj and Srinda play the lead roles in Dileesh Nair's directorial debut Tamaar Padaar. And looks like the film has a bagful of surprises in store. For instance, both the protagonists have no combination scenes in the film!
Srinda says, "While I am not allowed to disclose much, I can say that nobody will expect to see me in the role I play in Tamaar Padaar. I never thought I will take up such a character. Having said that, the woman is a very strong and bold character."
Apparently, it is the movie's director Dileesh who suggested Srinda's name to Aashiq Abu for 22 Female Kottayam. "When Dileesh called me for his debut movie — that too as the lead — I was thrilled. Most of the crew members of Tamar Padaar have been my friends for long and I was quite excited to work with them," she recalls.
Srinda's character in the recent Mammootty-starrer Manglish, in which she plays a vivacious woman from Fort Kochi, has won her a lot of appreciation. "It is for Manglish that I cleaned a fish for the first time in my life! I don't eat fish or meat as I despise them; I'm an eggetarian. For the same reason, the fish cleaning scene was not easy for me. It feels great to learn that people loved the movie for its comic moments involving me," says Srinda.
Her upcoming film, Homely Meals by Anoop Kannan, will hit the screens soon. "Again, it's for this movie that I rode a two-wheeler for the first time!" says the actress.
