The IMPACT WRESTLING roster is surrounding the ring, and President Dixie Carter is in the ring and gives a proper introduction to The Cyborg, The American Hero, Kurt Angle. Angle enters the IMPACT Arena to a roaring crowd chanting “Thank You Angle”. Dixie gives a tearful thank you, and retrospective of Kurt Angle’s IMPACT WRESTLING journey, and says she’s eternally grateful for everything Kurt has done for IMPACT WRESTLING and the wrestling fans around the world. Drew Galloway makes his way into the ring and delivers an emotional speech praising Angle and thanking him for setting the standard for professional wrestling. Angle takes the mic and thanks the entire roster for making him a better man, a better wrestler, and a better father. Kurt thanks the IMPACT WRESTLING fans and considers himself to be the luckiest man on the planet…until ‘The Destroyer’ Lashley interrupts. Lashley let’s Angle know how much of an honor it is going to be to wrestle Kurt Angle in his final match, but after looking into Kurt Angle’s eyes, Lashley is convinced that Angle isn’t ready to wrestle him tonight. Angle continues his ice blue stare at Lashley as ‘The Destroyer’ exits to the chants of “Angle’s Gonna Kill You” from the IMPACT fans.

KING OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH

Eric Young vs. Bram vs. Damo vs. Jimmy Havok vs. Will Ospreay

As E.Y. and Bram make their entrance, we see there’s a ladder in the ring, and a steel cage penalty box on the outside of the ring. The match kicks off quickly.  Damo shows impressive strength by pressing, and throwing, Eric Young and Bram at the same time. Jimmy Havok jumps Damo while he’s not looking and is able to knock him out of the ring. Jimmy Havok and Will Ospreay square off and Jimmy Havok is able to keep the high flying Ospreay grounded. Unfortunately for Havok he gets rolled up by Will Ospreay and sent to the holding cell on the outside for 60 seconds, and Will is now eligible to hang the KOTM Title. Will Ospreay ascends the ladder and when he gets about 3/4 of the way to the top E.Y. comes back in the ring and dumps the ladder. Ospreay goes flying through the air and takes a devastating crash landing onto the top rope. E.Y. and Bram hit some tandem offense on both Damo and Ospreay on the outside to stay in control. Jimmy Havok is released from the penalty box and climbs to the top of it. Havok hypes the crowd and does a suicide dive off of the penalty box onto Damo and E.Y. Then E.Y. and Jimmy Havok continue to battle it out back and forth, until E.Y. delivers an insane Piledriver on the outside steel steps to Jimmy Havok. Jimmy Havok is done, E.Y. pins him on the outside to qualify to hang the KOTM Title. Back in the ring Bram and Damo exchange some heavy hits until Bram executes a DDT on Damo. Bram gets the pin on Damo and is eligible to hang the KOTM title. Bram enters the ring with the KOTM title and faces off with Eric Young. teamwork goes out the window when both men start hammering back and forth on each other with big right hand punches. E.Y. gets the best of Bram in the exchange, but Bram hits E.Y. with a spinning back kick and lays him out. Bram sets up the ladder to hang the KOTM title and starts to climb. Damo is released from the penalty box, and E.Y. pushes the ladder over and Bram lands on his throat on the top rope. Eric Young grabs the KOTM title and starts to climb the ladder but Will Ospreay does a quick spring board flying forearm to E.Y. and he’s down and out. Will Ospreay ascends to hang the KOTM title again but Eric Young is back up and climbing to the top turnbuckle. E.Y. delivers a massive neck breaker from the top rope tearing Ospreay off the ladder and crashing back to the canvas. Eric Young grabs his KOTM title and starts to climb the ladder and he is able to hang the belt to retain The King Of The Mountain Championship.

WINNER: ERIC YOUNG

Kurt Angle Video Genesis 2006:

We see highlights of a bloodied Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe, both men trying to get their submissions locked in, but in the end Samoa Joe taps out to Kurt’s Ankle Lock. That ended Samoa Joe’s 18 month undefeated streak.

Backstage:

Maria confronts President Dixie Carter, thanking her for bringing Maria and ‘The Miracle’ to IMPACT WRESTLING. She asks Dixie to join her husband ‘The Miracle’ in the ring later for some time together. Maria adds that she has a lot to add to the Knockouts Division and thinks she should be in charge. Dixie says she saw how Maria interacted with Gail Kim last week and she thinks her actions should speak louder than her words.

DECAY Music Video. 100% Creepy.

In the Ring we see Maria & ‘The Miracle’ Mike Bennett in the ring. Bennett asks the people if they want to know what “miracle is happening tonight”. Bennett tells the crowd IMPACT needs him now more than ever, especially since Kurt Angle is on his way out the door. He then says that tonight’s ‘Miracle’ is that he will be the new #1 contender for the IMPACT WRESTLING World Championship. Bennett then invites President Dixie Carter to the ring. Dixie doesn’t answer his call but Drew Galloway does. Galloway tells ‘The Miracle’ he should spend more time fighting and less time acting like a “little b*tch”. Mike Bennett gets irate and tells Galloway to go get Dixie for him, but Galloway unloads on ‘The Miracle’ instead. Galloway hits some ground and pound offense and a big clothesline on ‘The Miracle’ Mike Bennett, and then Bennett gets out of the ring before Galloway can unload The Claymore. Bennett and Maria exit up the ramp very upset that Galloway has stolen their moment in the spotlight.

Kurt Angle Video Slammiversary 2007: King Of The Mountain Match

We see Christian Cage get speared off of a ladder. Kurt Angle ascends the ladder to hang the KOTM title for his first TNA gold.

Backstage:

The Wolves are in the locker room with Kurt Angle letting him know that they meant what they said in the ring last week and how much they’ve always looked up to Angle since they were kids. Angle lets The Wolves know how great of a tag team they are and individual athletes. Angle busts Davey Richards chops for using an ankle lock, and then officially passes the Ankle Lock on to Davey Richards.
Davey is honored and mystified, but Angle snaps them back to business to get ready for their title defense against Beer Money.

KNOCKOUTS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Jade vs. Gail Kim

Jade is already in the ring and ready to go. Gail makes her entrance, and we see a quick recap of Maria’s Knockouts hijinx from last week and Jade hitting Gail with her own title.

Suddenly Gail Kim goes to work viciously right away on Jade getting revenge for Jade jumping her the week before. The action goes back and forth with Gail Kim hitting a lot of forearms and a big dropkick on Jade that sends her to the outside. Jade is frustrated but quickly back in and takes the offensive upper hand on Gail Kim with a flurry of her own strikes in the corner. Jade hits a big clothesline on Gail and drops her in the center of the ring and stands on her stomach. Gail is able to battle back and use her innovative offense to get back in control. Gail hits a cross body in the corner on Jade and slides through to the outside of the ring. Gail Kim grabs Jades legs and sets her up for the inverted Figure Four Leg Lock on the ring post. Both women go back and forth with a series of near submissions on each other. Jade goes to the top rope for a Missile Drop Kick but misses her target when Gail Kim side steps. Gail Kim gets fired up and hits a big forearm splash on Jade in the corner and then follows up with a big neck breaker on Jade. Gail Kim covers but Jade kicks out. Gail goes for her finisher but it was well scouted by Jade who reverses it into a big German Suplex with a bridge pin for a 2 count. Jade sets up for the package Piledriver on Gail, but she is able to inventively escape with a scorpion kick. Gail climbs to the top rope and executes a big flying cross body on Jade. Jade rolls through and uses Gail Kim’s momentum to go for a pin attempt, but Gail is able to reverse it back hold Jade down to get the victory. Gail Kim retains the Knockouts Championship Title.

IMPACT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH

The Wolves vs. Beer Money

Davey Richards and Cowboy James Storm start the match. The crowd is hyped for both teams, and both teams know Kurt Angle requested this match, so everyone involved is ready to go. Storm and Richards trade leverage on a wrist lock and go back and forth with some quick catch wrestling. Quick tag to Eddie Edwards and he is working on Storms wrist and arm right away as well. Another quick Wolves tag and Davey drops a double axe handle smash across the arm of James Storm. Storm has had enough and drops Davey Richards with a right hand and tags in Bobby Roode. Roode gets control of Richards right away but after a blind tag from Eddie Edwards on the outside, The Wolves open up some high impact tandum offense on Beer Money. Beer Money tries to work some tag team offense of their own but The Wolves have it scouted and are able to turn the tables again. Eddie escapes and double suplex from Beer Money thanks to Davey Richards. Then The Wolves are able to get Beer Money to the outside. Beer money is staggered and get hit with simultaneous mid rope suicide dives to the outside from The Wolves. Bobby Roode is thrown back in the ring and Eddie Edwards hits a guillotine leg drop over the top rope onto Roode. Eddie Edwards and Bobby Roode trade hard chops back and forth. There is a blind tag from Storm on Roode and Eddie gets hit with and inverted atomic drop from Roode followed up with a side Russian leg sweep from Storm. Storm covers but Eddie kicks out on 2. Storm grabs a tight waste lock and fires some elbows into the ribs of Edwards. After some good mat wrestling from Storm, Beer Money is able to get more tag team offense going to keep Eddie Edwards grounded. Bobby Roode snaps Edwards over and applies a chin lock. Eddie chops his way out of the hold and tries desperately to tag Davey Richards but the strength and size of Beer Money over comes The Wolves and Eddie takes a big clothesline. Roode covers, Edwards kicks out on 2, Roode tags in Storm. Eddie is able to escape again and hits a double hurricanrana on Beer Money! Finally Eddie Edwards is able to tag out to Davey Richards and he comes in on fire! Davey is able to take out both members of Beer Money with a big drop kick. Davey is able to get both Beer Money members in a submission maneuver positions at the same time, but is forced to break the hold. James storm is able to cut Davey Richards off on the top rope with big punches and sets him up for a superplex. Richards crotches Storm on the top rope and Eddie hits Storm with an enziguri kick, dropping Storm into a Tree Of Woe position. Davey Richards stomps James Storm from the top rope at the same time Eddie Edwards does a baseball slide to Storm’s face. Davey Richards goes for a pin but James Storm is able to kick out. Both teams battle until Storm hits a kick and ‘rana on Eddie Edwards and Roode follows it up with a big splash off the top rope. Storm goes for the cover but Davey Richards makes the save just in time. Storm hits a backstabber on Richards and he goes out of the ring. Beer Money hits the double suplex on Eddie Edwards and gets fueled up on crowd interaction. Beer Money goes for their DUI finisher but Wolves counter out and get back in control. Davey Richards flies off the top rope but gets hit with Storms knees. Beer Money hit a big sling shot DDT on Eddie Edwards and go for the cover but still can only get 2. Beer Money sets Eddie Edwards up for the DUI and they hit it. Bobby Roode covers and gets the 1-2-3.

‘The Miracle’ Mike Bennett approaches Kurt Angle and lets Kurt know that he blew his chance at not facing Bennett in his last match. And if Angle ever comes back Bennett will be waiting for him. Kurt tell’s ‘The Miracle’ Mike Bennett that he had better hope he never comes back because if he does… “It’s gonna get real. It’s gonna get DAMN REAL!”

Grado enters the arena with no music and takes the mic from J.B.! Grado says he’s got video proof that he was screwed over at Feast or Fired. Eli Drakes music hits and Eli Drake comes out with Jessie Godderz to let Grado know how pathetic he is. Eli Drake says he’s going to smash Grado over head with his briefcase and that Mr. Pectacular will escort him out. Godderz and Drake take Grado out but Mahabali Sherah comes down to save Grado. Sherah and Godderz square off in the corner and Mahabali hits him with big right hands punches until Eli Drake takes him out with the briefcase. Grado is able to escape another briefcase shot, and Eli Drake takes out his own partner Jessie Godderz with it. Eli Drake turns around and Grado lays him out with a Grado Cutter. Grado takes Eli Drake’s Feast or Fired Briefcase and run’s for the hills.

KURT ANGLE VS BOBBY LASHLEY

‘The Destroyer’ Lashley is pumped and focused as he makes his way to the ring. Kurt Angle enters to a standing ovation as he walks down the ramp to his final IMPACT WRESTLING main event match. Match begins and Lashley shoots in and grabs a waist lock on Kurt Angle, Kurt reverses into an over the shoulder arm drag and puts Lashley in a side headlock. Lashley tries to use some more of his amateur wrestling skills to escape but Kurt Angle’s skills are too much for him. Lashley resorts to his power striking ability to escape and gain an advantage. Lashley throws Angle into the turnbuckle but loses his composure enough that Kurt Angle can capitalize and starts hitting overhead suplexes on ‘The Destroyer’ Lashley. Lashley rolls out of the ring to regroup and get back on his game plan. Lashley gets back in the ring and again uses his power striking but Kurt weathers the storm and hits Lashley with a Belly to Belly suplex. Angle starts to mount some strikes on Lashley, but ‘The Destroyer’ reverses out of it and drops Angle face first on the top turn buckle. Lashley uses the ring ropes to his advantage choking Kurt over them, and applying pressure with his boot. Lashley works Angle over and hits him with a big spinning back elbow after catching one of Angle’s kicks. Angle and Lashley exchange blows back and forth until Kurt Angle ducks a big clothesline from ‘The Destroyer’ and grabs a tight waist lock and unloads two more suplexes on Lashley. Before Kurt can hit the third suplex ‘The Destroyer’ Lashley elbows Angle in the face and hits him with a massive running power slam. Lashley goes for a spear but Kurt Angle boots him in the face and tries to hit Lashley with an Angle Slam but doesn’t get all of it. Then Angle is able to hook Lashley again and hit all 3 suplexes on him this time. With Lashley down in the middle of the ring, Kurt Angle is able to grab an ankle lock on ‘The Destroyer’. Lashley uses his brute strength to slingshot Angle into the turnbuckles to get out of the ankle lock submission. Lashley then delivers a spine buster to Angle and leaves him laying in the middle of the ring and he sets up for the spear. ‘The Destroyer’ unloads a vicious spear on The Olympic Hero. Lashley covers but Angle is still able to kick out on 2. Lashley turns even more focused than before and sets up for another Destroyer spear and hits it on Angle. Lashley covers, Angle Kicks out on 2. Lashley goes for a third spear but Angle side steps Lashley, school boys him and turns it into another ankle lock submission hold with an additional grapevine. Lashley is able to withstand the torture of the ankle lock and crawls out of it, but the damage to his ankle is noticeable. Angle comes flying into the corner to deliver a spear of his own but Lashley moves and Angle drives his shoulder hard into the ring post. Angle staggers back out to the middle of the ring where ‘The Destroyer’ Lashley unloads a third spear onto Kurt Angle and pins him, earning a solid victory over Kurt Angle in Kurt Angle’s Final IMPACT WRESTLING Main Event Match.

WINNER: BOBBY LASHLEY

After the match the UK crowd was on their feet in a standing ovation chanting “Thank You Angle”. Both Lashley and Angle embrace and raise each others arm in a show of sportsmanship and respect. Suddenly Lashley unloads a right cross to the jaw of Angle laying him out during the celebration. Lashley sets up and hits The American Hero with a fourth spear and then tosses referee Brian Hebner out of the ring. Drew Galloway comes down to end Lashley’s madness and regain control of the situation but he ends up getting speared as well. Eddie Edwards runs to the rescue and gets speared too. Lashley picks up Angle off of the mat and throws him into the ropes and spears him again!

EC3’s Music hits and he walks slowly to the ring while staring at Lashley while he stands in the ring with bodies surrounding him. EC3 makes it to the ring and Lashley leaves to a chorus boo’s from the UK IMPACT crowd.
