To answer your question, the way I see it there was a series of shills posting deliberately inflammatory threads in order to bait the mods, then filling said threads with spam to drown out any discussion. Eventually, the mods got tired of the situation and fell into the trap of "it's all just too hard" and went through a phase of insta-purging any mentions of the shitstorm happening on YT/twitter/etc. right now. Some anons are convinced the mods are compromised, I think they just did a human thing and got frustrated and wanted what they saw as something giving them a headache gone. This is the most hardcore and quite honestly effective shilling I've ever seen, they've revealed there actually is a genuine way to lock down discussion of certain topics from /pol/ by combining the exploitation of a fracture point with intense white-noise spamming in order to induce frustration in any anon trying to understand the situation. The reality is even on /pol/ there are very few anons that would be willing to drudge through the spam and the muck to put together a coherent picture of the situation as a whole. My theory is this is 1st exodus vs the 2nd, the former being exclusively those interested in investigation and the latter those who were physically forced to migrate.
