After a week long of hustings, postering and online campaigning, YOU the students of Grizedale had elected your new executive committee for next year!

and continuing after being elected in June 2014… Liam Hampton and Nona Jones the sports officers!

HEY GRIZEDALE!
It’s nearly the end of the first term, which means it’s husting season … if you want to be on the JCR for 2015, here’s your chance!
As a member of the JCR you will be a part of a team of students who are in charge of a wide variety of things; including events, socials, welfare campaigns and more! It’s great for the CV, but more importantly it’s great fun and you meet loads of great people.
So, if you’re Grizedale till you die, there are 12 positions up for grabs and anyone can run for any position. If you want to run, you will have to lead your own election campaign and deliver a short hust (speech) to convince people why you’re the best for the role!
KEY DATES!
Nominations open this Monday, Week 7. Campaigning will begin Saturday Week 7. Hustings where speeches will be held will be at 6pm on Tuesday of Week 8. Voting will be Wednesday to Friday Week 8 and results will be on the riday night!

So it’s week 5 and the first term has been going great!
Freshers week was a resounding success! heck out the following video for a taster of what we got up to. Huge thanks to all Freshers Reps and JCR for making it such an awesome week 🙂
Week 3 we had a great social to Canal Street, Manchester. Was enjoyed by all, and due to popular demand we are planning another social for week 7, possibly to Liverpool. Watch this space!
