Aurealis Award

The Aurealis Award was established in 1995 and recognises the very best in Australian speculative fiction. Presented annually there are a number of categories including fantasy, horror, science fiction and children's literature. Listed here is the complete list for the winners of "best fantasy novel" and "best science fiction novel". In 1996 and 1998 there were ties for the best fantasy novel, with the author Sara Douglass winning two awards in 1 year.
