‘Sharknado’ to finally fulfill Anthony Weiner’s destiny

Beyond the lame special effects, absurd plot and atrocious scipt, “Sharknado” fans can look forward to watching Anthony Weiner get consumed by the finned menaces in the schlockfest’s third installment.

The ex-congressman will play the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, tasked with dealing with shark-storms all along the East Coast. The good news is, he doesn’t have to act any better than he did when he was insisting those weren’t his pornographic tweets.

After all, Tara Reid sleepwalks through her screen time in these films — it just gives the audience more to jeer.

“Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!” airs July 22 on the Syfy network. Fans know it’s all over once the heroic Fin (Ian Ziering) gets his hands on a chainsaw, the ideal weapon for shark-dicing. But the fun up to that point involves all manner of flying-rubber-shark attacks on innocents — plus, starting with “Sharknado 2,” semi-famous cameos.

This time, the guests include not just Carlos Danger, but also ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann, David Hasselhoff, Bo Derek, Penn and Teller, R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and Lou “Hulk” Ferrigno.

Just in case anyone thought Weiner might have gotten over his inflated sense of self-worth, he told the press, “I was probably the most important person there [on set] — that shows you how bad it was.”

Sorry, Tony: You’re no David Hasselhof — and sure no Bo Derek.
