(Livermore, California) Thomas Edison invented light bulb in 1879. 22 years later, one was hung in Livermore Fire Station and turned on. It still burns. Hand-blown bulb made by Shelby Electric Company. [Fire Captain Kirby SLATE - gives history of bulb, expresses pride.]
