Yes, Amelia, the balusters were eventually replaced. The bridge was closed to be widened and strengthened. It is believed the vandals used the fence, that was erected to stop traffice crossing the bridge, to lever the top off the parapet, and then shove the balusters into the river. Cheers, Joe
