DAMASCUS, SYRIA (12:55 A.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army continued their offensive in the northern Hama countryside on Wednesday, targeting the hilltops located just north of the recently captured town of Souran.
Led by the remaining Tiger Forces in northern Hama, the Syrian Arab Army reportedly seized the hilltops of Tal Mussin and Tal Bazam after a short battle with the jihadist rebels of Jund Al-Sham (mostly Chechens) and Jaysh Al-Izza.
According to a military source, a significant number of soldiers from the Tiger Forces are still active in the northern Hama countryside; they are tasked with protecting their recent gains.
The primary force that will take over the northern Hama operations will be the 87th Brigade of the 11th Tank Division and the 555th Regiment of the 4th Mechanized Division.
