This is your link to Upper Air Instrumentation Research Project (UAIRP) data. Data is made available from nominal weekly flights of ozonesonde instrument balloons from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility at Wallops Island, Virginia USA, as well as, from the INPE Natal, Brazil, site operating under a joint NASA-INPE cooperative agreement. [INPE is Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais, the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research.]
While data is routinely posted to the Network for Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change (NDACC) [operated by NOAA’s National Weather Service] and the World Ozone and Ultraviolet Radiation Data Centre (WOUDC) [operated by the Government of Canada for the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Program], data collected from Wallops Island balloon releases is generally posted within 24-48 hours after the flight. Vertical profile flight data from Natal is generally available within one (1) week following the flight.
