Kate Peck appears downcast as she dines at a beachside cafe after reportedly being dropped by Myer as a brand ambassador

She's known for her vibrant and quirky personality which translates through to her signature strut on the runway.

But when Kate Peck was spotted at Sydney's The Bucket List on Thursday, her mood appeared rather subdued compared to usual.

The 27-year-old was spotted having a meal at the Bondi beach hot spot with some pals as news emerged she was being dropped by retail giant Myer, for whom she has been a brand ambassador for two years.

Downcast: When Kate Peck was spotted at Sydney's The Bucket List on Thursday, her mood appeared rather subdued compared to usual

Opting for a casual look, the MTV star wore a black collared blouse with a gold zipper down the front.

Her cropped, platinum blonde locks were teased back, while her makeup was kept simple with some lashings of black mascara and a light slick of pink lipstick.

Kate completed her look with a few key accessories, including a bold silver wrist watch and complementing bracelets and rings.

Why so glum? Having a meal at the Bondi beach hot spot with some pals, the blonde was spotted as news emerged she was being dropped by retail giant Myer, for whom she has been a brand ambassador

Meanwhile after two years as an ambassador for Myer it appears as though Kate has ended her commitments with the department store.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Friday that sources believe the model's 'grungy style' has clashed with the direction that the brand is heading in.

'It's been a great two years, perhaps I'm a little too much of a wild child to be a part of the Myer family, but regardless, I love them dearly and I had a ball,' Kate told the newspaper.

But as of Friday, Kate still had Myer Ambassador listed in her Instagram bio despite the reports that she has parted ways with the brand.

A Myer spokesperson said: 'Kate was a valued ambassador, representing the brand across a broad range of fashion, racing, store and community events and we wish her all the best for the future.'

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to both Myer and Kate's management for further comment.

In good company: Kate has previously strutted down the runway alongside fellow ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith

Kate has been a part of the exclusive brand ambassador team for the past two years and it has been reported that her contract ended last month.

But the department store's customer base apparently favour a brand ambassador who is more commercial in appearance.

Kate has previously strutted down the runway alongside fellow ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Rachael Finch and Kris Smith.

Former Miss Universe Australia Laura Dundovic was a style ambassador for Myer for five years before her contract wasn't renewed in January last year.

More than just a model: Kate is also a television presenter for MTV Australia and for the Channel 10 program RPM

Myer is currently gearing up for their upcoming autumn/winter showcase which is scheduled to be held next month in Sydney.

The model is also an MTV VJ and a presenter on Channel 10's RPM program, and featured heavily in coverage of the 2015 V8 Supercars series.

It was reported in 2014 that Kate was going to be dropped for the Myer summer swimsuit catalogue, over fears her slender frame could cause a blacklash.
