Dragon Gym Founder: Grand Master Chae T. Goh

9th Degree Black Belt

Grand Master Chae T. Goh was born and raised in Korea. Grand Master Goh started his Martial Arts training in the early 50’s at the age of seven. By the age of sixteen, Grand Master Goh had received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido Martial Arts. Grand Master Goh is one out of a handful of Grand Masters in the world who hold the rank of 9th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido in addition to experiences in various other martial arts disciplines.

Grand Master Goh has been extremely successful both as a Martial Art Instructor and as a competitor. His accomplishments include championships both in form and fighting competitions throughout Asia. Many of Grand Master Goh’s students have won National and Regional Grand Championships and competitions as well.

In 1970 Grand Master Goh was selected, with a handful of other South Korean Masters, to write a thesis describing how they would modify the Martial Arts training process to more effectively spread the Ancient Arts in America. This was a very high honor for Grand Master Goh. He alone, out of all candidates, was selected to come to America with the mission of spreading the Martial Arts of Korea to the American culture. After years of research, hard work and refinement Grand Master Goh has passed along his Martial Arts knowledge and experiences to his student Senior Master Heath.

2016 – Grand Master Goh  was appointed as Secretary For 8/9 Dan Testing Kukkiwon Korea, well deserved.. Grand Master HY. Kwon is presenting the award. Also present is Grand Master Jhoon Rhee of Washington DC who had trained and was well known with Bruce Lee. Grand Master Jhoon Rhee and Grand Master Goh were chosen as co-Grand Masters of the year and appeared on the cover of TaeKwonDo magazine back in 1994!
