Dianne Wiest and Zoe Lister Jones are set to co-star opposite Colin Hanks and Betsy Brandt in Life in Pieces, CBS’ single-camera comedy pilot from 20th TV and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. Written on spec by Justin Adler, the project is about one family as told through the separate stories of its different family members. Oscar and Emmy winner Wiest plays the matriarch Joan Short, who adores her family and would do absolutely anything for them — as long she agrees with it. Jones plays Greg Short’s (Hanks) wife Jen, a woman used to being in control who now has a baby and finds for the first time she’s not.

Wiest, repped by ICM Partners, next will be seen in Sisters, opposite Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and indie Five Nights In Maine, opposite David Oyelowo. Jones, repped by WME and Jackoway Tyerman, recently wrapped production on the independent feature Consumed, which she co-wrote and produced with her husband Daryl Wein. Wein directed.
