Back in 2014, a mobile game based on Lords of the Fallen was announced, Lords of the Fallen being a Dark Souls style action RPG that did well enough to justify a sequel that is in development right now. But just what this mobile game would be was unknown, and Lords of the Fallen for mobile seemed to disappear somewhere into the void. But suddenly, it has reappeared and is releasing this Thursday, February 9th.

If you were expecting something like the console version or Dark Souls, well unfortunately you're getting something more like Infinity Blade with one-on-one, swipe based combat. The trick is that there are thre different heroes to play as on your quest to kill the Demon Queen Akasha. The graphics on this one are looking rather good, for sure. Lords of the Fallen for mobile will be available on February 9th on both iOS and Android, and will run $9.99.

UPDATE: Looks like Lords of the Fallen for mobile has jumped the gun on its February 9th release date and is available now. For more, check out the forum thread for the game.

Looks very infinity blade to me... not necessarily a bad thing but probably not my cup of tea. That being said I will probably pick it up anyway .

    Go premium pricing!

  • Amenbrother

Premium? Awesome but pretty sure the soft launched version had stamina and timers so that would be awesome to get rid of.

  • Jamesrooney27

Wow brave move with price, I'm fine with buying but quite few people will probably just stick with infinity blade

I have a question that has nothing to do with the posts but when developers releasing games on the AppStore are there rules by Apple that developers when they bring a game to the AppStore that they have the obligation to update the game and keep it in working order even when there is an iOS OS update?

    • Amenbrother

I want to say I don't think so look at Bioshock.

      • boydstr

That is why I asked because It is unclear and I want to know what the rights are when buying software I mailed 2K about BioShock and they mailed my that they told "we told that the game was and is playable with iOS 8.3 and lower" and I think that when you release on the AppStore you have to keep the game playable after an iOS update,so I hope that there is someone that have experience with the rules you have to follow when you want to release games on the AppStore.

      • Daniel Schroeder

Developers are not required to update their app. It's not always financially viable, or possible, to do so.

      • boydstr

And that's an official policy by Apple so that I know if I can ask a refund by Apple?
        Anyway thanks for info.

      • Michal Hochmajer

As far as I can remember, it is true.
There is endless list of "dumb" things you must do. They are focusing on small things, which is more or less good. But update, when you release app before major iOS update is not among them. And honestly, if app is not making enough to cover Your expenses, noone will update.
Funny thing is, that Apple relatively often rejects update for an app, where as reason to reject is small thing, which was already in previous version. 🙂

      • boydstr

Thanks man....but i think its strange that Apple sells software and that they give no warranty whatsoever that the software you buy keeps working,is it not possible to have a closed game environment that is not influenced or only when needed by iOS updates? I think it's strange when you buy something in a store you get a warranty on a the product but for some strange reason Apple thinks that they can follow there own rules and what surprises me the most that people complain when 2K announced that they don't update BS but after some posts on TA it stays silent.

  • LordVandal

Don't bother it's not worth buying at least not for £9.99, voices are awful and graphics on iPad Pro 12.9 are god awful...save your money and keep with infinity blade.

    • Lickzy

How do you know this when the final release isn't out yet? Or did you come across it some other way?

      • TywinTheVile

It is out now so maybe he bought it? As a veteran of the Infinity Blade Saga I will try this out even though the IB swipe combat is stale.

      • Lickzy

Okay thanks. The post itself says February 9th so I didn't realize that it came out a couple days early. Thought he may have played a poor beta.

        Thank you 🙂

  • TywinTheVile

It's live in US AppStore now.

I had so much promise for this game. It should have been like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite where your free to roll around and block and fight and kinda like dark souls. To have another infinity blade clone is not the way to go guys, especially with that price

    • G3NNRAL DEV

stationary IB combat is more accessible to people who know of the console/pc version. I also feel like it would be too much for mobile to handle. In MHFU, it loads every area individually and only has few enemies to load. I'd think a maybe a top down port a la Ire would be doable though

      • 김지 킫밸

The idea i had was, if this game loaded one boss character like it loaded MHFU and you, and littered the place with items and physics based stuff you could knock over, and its nothing but beautiful boss battles, then id pay more than $9.99 for the game. Accessibility wasnt the idea of the first game and i understand how they'd want more of a base for mobile but branch out more than using the same thing. But i do definitely get it. Its a tried and true formula, so why not. If it was $4.99 id get it to support them

  • borb86

I really wanted this to be awesome but yeah looks like $14 infinity blade.
