AGOO, La Union – Outgoing Mayor Sandra Eriguel of this town wanted to replace her husband La Union 2nd District Representative Eufranio Eriguel, who didn’t seek reelection for his third and final term.
Rep. Eriguel said he wants to concentrate in the campaign of Sandra and his daughter Dr. Stefannie Ann Eriguel who filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for the mayoral position in Agoo which will be vacated by her mother.
The Eriguels have occupied the mayoralty post in Agoo for almost two decades now.
Sandra has filed her COC at the provincial office of the Commission on Elections in San Fernando City for Congresswoman while Stefannie filed her earlier at the municipal election registrar here.
Sandra is running under the Nationalist Peoples Coalition while Stefannie is under the United Nationalist Alliance.
Sandra will slug it out with former representative Tomas Dumpit Sr while Stefannie is being challenged by former Agoo Mayor Pablo Olarte. Jun Elias
