Crystal Palace forward Kwesi Appiah has reportedly joined Norwegian side Viking Stavanger on loan until the summer.

According to sources in Ghana, the striker has flown out to the club's training camp in Spain and met his new team-mates today.

Appiah has had a torrid couple of seasons, getting over a serious knee injury and has been stepping up his recovery in the last few months.

He was interesting League One side Southend over a loan switch at the end of January, but Palace weren't convinced of his full fitness and kept him back to continue his recovery.

Now, it seems Appiah is ready to play regularly again and will spend the next few months with Viking until the summer. Their football season starts in less than a month on April 3, according to FootballGhana.com.

Appiah, who has not been able to break into the first team at Selhurst Park on a regular basis in the last five seasons, has previously been out on loan at Cambridge United, Notts County and Reading.
