Announcing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F for Western Release!Today we are proud to announce that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F is headed West! The game will arrive this August on both PlayStation 3 and Playstation Network in North America, and in Europe on Playstation Network! Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F is a rhythm game featuring 38 unique songs, including popular tracks like Tell Your World and Black★Rock Shooter. Players can create and share their own Miku videos in “Edit Mode”, and can customize the popular diva with over 90 different costumes and accessories. Being the first console game released for the franchise in the West, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F will include all of the updated graphics, additional songs, and features of the Japanese version. Hastune Miku is the world’s most popular digital singer produced by Crypton Future Media,INC. Her popularity continues to increase in the West and she has over 950,000 dedicated English speaking fans on Facebook. In 2011, she packed the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles for her first ever Western concert, and tickets sold out almost instantly. To gauge interest for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F in the west, SEGA asked fans to like and share an image of Miku to pledge their support, and the response was astounding. In less than 3 days, the post received over 25,000 likes and 15,000 shares. “Your voices helped make this happen.” said Aaron Webber, Associate Brand Manager for the game. “Miku and SEGA fans, this is your moment. We’re thrilled to bring this title out for you, and we’re counting on your support. Tell Your World! ” Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F is slated for release on PlayStation 3 and via digital download on PlayStation Network in August 2013. If you are excited to get your hands Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, you won’t have to wait too long – the demo will be available on June 11th for the U.S. and June 12th for Europe!

Good, but really, it’s the Vita version I’d want. I know many feel the same way. Hard to understand why it’s not coming as a digital only release at the very least. Niche games do well on the Vita, you know… In this case I’ve even heard from multiple people that the game plays better with the touch screen than analogues emulating it too, in addition to portable just being preferable for this genre…

OMG, thank you so much!! I will be buying a PS3 right soon now…must get it so I can play that demo.
Quick question, because I don’t understand these newfangled digital download doohickeys: if I buy it on the Playstation Network, would I be able to play it on the PlayStation 4 when that is released? Or is PS4 not be backward compatible for this game regardless?
Trying to figure out which version to buy.
Again, thank you Sega, you have made my MONTH, seriously.

Already imported the Japanese version. And I will definitely be buying the US version too!
But, even though I don’t have a vita, for the rest of the fans who own a vita and not a PS3, why not release the vita version? I mean, that version did come out first. Plus, more money for the company, you know? Spread the joy to everyone SEGA!
Now if you excuse me… *dies of fangirl attack*

Thank you, Sega. Seriously. I mean it.
Now why don’t you try the same for Yakuza 5? Ask fans to like/share a Yakuza 5 pic and watch the reaction. PLEASE BRING YAKUZA 5 TO THE WEST!!!!

Thanks from France,
but i already got the Japanese Project diva game and the hori arcade stick. Too late for this one but think about a worldwide release for the next games, and a physical release for Europa Too.

Thank you so much SEGA!!! I love Hatsune Miku! Even though I may not own a Vita, I will still buy the physical copy of this to help support Hatsune Miku before I can actually play it! Again, thank you so much SEGA for doing this!!! 😀

Thank you Sega, but don’t forget the other Project Diva titles. You could do the same for Vita.
Also the 3DS Miku titles “Project Mirai” and “Project Mirai 2.”

Why no love to europe from anyone??

While I don’t own a PS3, this is fantastic! I find Vocaloid interesting. Rhythm games are also really fun to play.

What a wonderful timing. I bought a PS3 just yesterday and the first thing I saw in the store was the demo. Ordered the Japanese version instantly, and will buy the EU release again, this must be supported. These are the kind of games I will never see on my 360…

Do you guys plan to release some kind of special bundle which will include the arcade controller? I think that will greatly increase the gaming experience. I will love to get the bundle if you ever plan to release it. Anyhow, thank you for localizing the game SEGA!!

Even though this was announced two days after I bought an imported Japanese copy, I will gladly buy it, but…. SEGA, just pretty PLEASE… release a PHYSICAL copy in Europe too. I always prefer having the disk, and it will be more comfortable to buy.
I know I’m not the only one willing for it, so… please, JUST LISTEN TO US.

Well, I recently tried the demo and was really suprised about the game in a positive way …I admit it’s kind of addicting. 😉
I’m happy that you’re going to release the game to western audiences, but at the same time kind of down due to the digital only release in Europe…
But do not fear, I’ll go for an import of the US-version then! XD

I can’t wait for this game!!! There will be nothing stopping me from preordained this game and obsessing over it. I already downloaded the demo and beat the three songs on easy and medium. I played Project Diva 2nd and loved it but couldn’t do that much except for the songs because I couldn’t find my way with the Japanese text, but now that won’t be a problem. So, SEGA, you are epic!!!

Good news, but next time please have some retail copies made for Europe, because having to import games costs us more money. In 20 years time people can still buy and play a physical game, digital destroys gaming history.

THANK YOU SEGA!!! I’m a new fan and was lucky enough to get on board for this release. The gaming industry needs more diversity and titles willing to be different and I’m happy you feel it is worth the risk. Again, thank you and I look forward to more Sega releases.

For the first time in years I turned on my PS3 for this game, only discovered about it about, erm, 9 hours ago.
Thank you Sega. You have given the PS3 a purpose. Such a beautiful game both visually and audibly. Thank you. Wish I wasn’t such a sucker for Anime, there goes my bank balance again, darn.
I just wish the EU had a physical copy. But never mind.
I also wish that the West had Project Mirai 2 coming out. I can but hope that the sales from this do something to help with that. Is Nintendo blocking that?
