You will find that The British International School Bratislava is a very welcoming community and new students very quickly feel at home here. The happiness and contentment of our students is of utmost importance to us: the academic success that we have achieved here comes about through rigour, hard work and discipline, but also through a strong pastoral element that accompanies the emotional development of our students.
Our students come from a wide range of countries and cultures and bring with them a wealth of wisdom and experience. They are energetic, articulate, motivated, confident, caring and eager to make their mark on the world. Our teachers are highly qualified, experienced and inspirational, committed to helping the students in our care be the best they can be. High levels of staff commitment and loyalty, and the unique support provided to us by our global training programme, Nord Anglia University, mean we have both high staff continuity and leading edge modern teaching practices drawn from the best worldwide. We continuously enhance the technology used to support learning and expand and develop our facilities to ensure we have the best possible learning environments for our students. In such a context, there can be no excuse for anything other than all-round excellence.
This is absolutely vital and it is why we purposefully nurture a working environment that means students work hard, work well, but also take risks and try new ideas in their learning processes. We are confident that our ambitious ethos linked to achievement and opportunity enables your children to become academically and socially confident and ready to take their place in the world as young leaders. This ethos is further supported by our unique access to the Global Campus, a Nord Anglia Education initiative which assures confident global citizenship in our students through online interaction, in-school activities, and trips and opportunities that see our students travel to places all over the world, including Julliard, New York and Tanzania.
We understand the complex needs of children growing up in an international environment and ensure that the development of communication skills in English is a high propriety for all while also teaching a wide range of other mother tongue and additional World languages.
Our extensive co-curricular enrichment programme is witness to the importance of service, sport, music, the arts, ecological and global awareness, outdoor pursuits and much more besides in the range of clubs and societies that help prepare young people for futures where they can live up to the responsibilities they will find in their future roles of leadership all around the world.
