Mayweather vs Maidana results: Floyd Mayweather wins easier decision in rematch

Floyd Mayweather won a little easier this time, but still said he didn't feel like himself tonight against Marcos Maidana.

In a fight that lacked the excitement of their first encounter, Floyd Mayweather downed Marcos Maidana again, this time moving better and winning an easier decision than he did in May on scores of 115-112, 116-111, 116-111. BLH had it 116-111 for Mayweather.

The "highlight" of the fight was probably in the eighth round, when Maidana (35-5, 31 KO) allegedly bit Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO) on the left hand. Mayweather went into a bit of a fit at that, with referee Kenny Bayless trying to figure out what happened. Maidana certainly did something to Mayweather's hand, and may have bit him, but Floyd claimed after the fight that his entire left hand went numb on the bite.

Mayweather, 37, also said he felt better in the May fight than he did tonight, and there were moments where he looked a little tired, mostly between rounds in the corner. During the fight, he was spry, moving around the ring capably, using his legs, and keeping Maidana's output much lower than it was the first time around.

Maidana won a few rounds in this fight, and you could argue this one was closer than that one on the scores, but the fight certainly wasn't as competitive or interesting.

Mayweather said he plans to return to the ring in May 2015, and said that if the Manny Pacquiao fight "presents itself," then he's open to making it happen.

Maidana told Jim Gray that he felt he won the fight, and also denied biting Mayweather.

What did you think of tonight's fight, and the show as a whole?
