Greek basketball player Vassilis Spanoulis has signed a three-year contract extension with Olympiacos worth 2 million euros per season.

The 30-year-old, former Houston Rockets shooting guard was the transfer target of many of Europe’s top teams including CSKA, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Galatasaray.
However the captain of the reigning two-time European champions decided to stay with the club he’s been with since 2010.
Spanoulis was voted the Euroleague’s most valuable player in last season’s competition playing 31 matches and averaging 14.7 points per game.
