I actually thought (what I saw of) this movie was okay. But of course, I forgot that everything Seth MacFarlane touches is automatically crap.

Meh, I was never really too interested in seeing this movie from the start. I'm not even the slightest fan of Family Guy, and seeing Seth make something like this doesn't draw my attention much.
I guess if I WERE to see it, it'd mainly be because of Tara Strong's role, even if it is a very brief cameo. The other cameos listed in the comment below do seem like big wastes (especially Cox, because I JUST watch him in Adaptation, and he was phenomenal in it).

@DreamMaster08X No no, that was BRIAN Cox. I meant Chris Cox, the voice actor. But either way it was a waste.

@DravenRoth994 Oh, okay, that makes a big (but not by too much) difference. Still doesn't change my interest in this movie, though.

@DravenRoth994 Oh wait, that was Chris COOPER I was thinking of. Wow, that was another terrible mix-up I made. -_-

I honestly wanted to like this movie. With Seth directing and having more involvement than usual, I thought it would actually provide some laughs that the recent Family Guy has not been doing for me. It instead felt like nothing more like an extended episode of Family Guy, with all the same problems I have with that. Pointless references and scenes that do nothing to advance the plot, unlikeable characters(Seriously there was almost NO ONE I cared about in the entire movie), scenes that go on for WAY TOO LONG, jokes that have been done to death already on his own shows(oh, fart jokes, racist jokes, gay jokes, and more jokes about 9/11, how original). Look I understand Seth would have been one of the victims on one of those planes, but do they REALLY have to keep hammering it in!!!!!! Then there's the fact that the ending ignores the entire point of John having to grow up. He and Ted learn nothing by the end, and continue to be immature ***holes. I chuckled a handful of times but thats it. I admit that Patrick Stewart's narration was the one of the only things I liked. To add insult to injury, I haven't been able to look at Wahlberg the same way again after seeing him wasted in this. Other actors I like were wasted in this. Jessica Stroup was in it for 2 minutes, Patrick Warburton was in it for 2 minutes, Ryan Reynolds was in it for about 5 seconds, and Chris Cox(yes THAT CHRIS COX) had a bit part as "Guy #2." Sigh, if anyone liked it, that's fine but it was definitely a huge let down to me.

@DravenRoth994 Oh yes and Patrick Warbuton was completely wasted as well. Apparently, there was a side plot involving the characters Alice and Tanya that was removed from the final cut. Yes, because the scenes we did get were SO IMPORTANT!!! :/

@DravenRoth994 Okay and apparently I didn't pay attention to my own post regarding Patrick. Oi.

It's not as good as Family Guy though it was pretty funny in its own right. My problem was that all the good jokes were in the trailers but hey, that's all movies these days.
