That shotgun blast was insane. And the gory body deformation is incredible, almost too much for me lol
Also, if you have to watch a gameplay video, watch this one. It goes pretty much everywhere except the library. The dude plays well and doesn't waste time around. Lots of cool stuff there
So with the RPD being redesigned and expanded.... Will the S.T.A.R.S. office be expanded enough for Alpha and Bravo team?....
After seeing the shotgun's effect on zombies I CANNOT wait for the Custom Magnum in this game. Its gonna be brutal and cathartic blowing giant holes through multiple zombies with a single shot!
I enjoyed that run through on the Capcom stream. I want to rewatch it but I don't want to spoil so much of that section of the game. (And I has a statistics test to study for. >_<) Edit: Oh yeah, I'm totally going to play on the difficulty that requires ink ribbons. Can't wait!
OH MY GOD!!! What the HELL they have DONE to the save room music track?!??!?!!!!!????? They made it just another version of RE7’s !!!!! Freaking seriously ?!!???! They could have used this orchestra version: Woooow.... sooooo disappointed :-/
I am so glad to learn that ink ribbons are returning. Do we know who the director is yet? Also, is quick turn returning? Haven't seen Leon do that yet.
It's absolutely insane how they managed to make it look so cramped and claustrophobic in an over the shoulder view. Lighting and character movement do wonders.
The body destruction stuff in this game is pretty fascinating. Really brings out the rotting flesh factor of the zombies. I haven't watched the stream yet so I don't know if they brought it up, but I hope it applies in some way to other enemies as well.
Hope the ink ribbons aren't tied exclusively to the hardest difficulty. Would love to have that first playthrough but not if it's Madhouse tier.
I'm hoping the game has four difficulties unlike RE7's three. I think RE7 would've benefited from a difficulty between Normal and Madhouse, so I'm hoping REmake 2 has a regular Hard difficulty with ink ribbons and maybe a few difficulty shifts up before a special difficulty with remixed elements. You almost certainly can turn them off, you could in RE7 as well.
Real question.... Would you prefer a fixed camera for this game similar to the previous one or a moveable camera like it has? I'm asking because I've seen 2 people saying they want a fixed camera instead.
Yes apparently they removed and downgraded one of the most iconic OST in the industry instead of upgrading it like REmake did...
My personal preference is for a fixed camera, but I don't have any problems with the one they've gone with.
I was really into fixed camera but seeing this now, especially with the unprecedented amount of body destruction, I really don't care anymore at all. This has to be some of the most detailed damage to enemies ever, no?
Same. I had some concerns regarding OTS camera, but I'm impressed with how they've decided to tackle it for this game. For instance, the accuracy actually takes a hit while Leon is moving, I really like that.
I still see a fully functional zombie, who may possibility still be mobile. Missing the resident evil head pop.
For the record, zombie head popping is still in. That just apparently wasn't the shot for it, but did still do something quite visceral. He might get back up, later in the stream he does some other shotgun blasts (not at the head though) which has the zombie getting up.
The main hall music is there, I increased the volume tenfold so check your headphones. It sounds like a RE4 version of the main hall
I know it's too soon to say this, but Leon's reactions and the stuff he says is really impressive. I never really thought of RE as a franchise with intriguing writing or character presentation, this game might change that.
