What's the population like on PC? BF2 is straight garbage at this point. Literally *cannot* find a balanced GA match. Only reason I'm even trying is I have no other shooter that's even remotely interesting to play at the moment. The drought of games is keeping this turd on my SDD lmao
I’d be cool with them jerryrigging an SA map out of Scarif, Bespin or Death Star 1 from BF1. Or GA Walker assault on Sullust or Scarif. Not really interested in anymore recycled small maps, especially from planets already in the game.
LOL finally found a fun balanced server and I get the sound cutout bug that requires a game restart within 2 matches. That bug's been there since Day 1 What a trash tier DICE squad this game got. Literally the D team. Can't make this shit up.
Hmmmm, I do have it on PS4 as well. And they made all the DLC map packs free if I recall correctly. May be worth a revisit.

Just realized, nobody on the DICE C-team left working on this game is actually probably even capable of making a proper Conquest map. So many of the GA maps devolve into nade hallway chokepoint bottleneck massacres because that's probably the extent of their map-making ability. Battlefield 4 still have a decent community going? I need to move back to a real shooter and Battlefield 1's shooting mechanics were irritatingly casual as far as BF games go.
As I've said before, there is a good chunk of maps from this game and the 2015 game that could work well for Conquest with minor modifications. Mos Eisley, Kamino, Death Star II, Kashyyyk, Yavin IV, Administrator's Palace, Biopic Labs, Scarif, Outpost Beta, Judland Wastes, etc.
I agree, but when you put it in the perspective of there are still massive bugs that have been in the game since launch, something as simple as the challenges not working half the time, and then looking at the quality of some of the new maps like Takodana and Jakku, and how chokepoint-heavy almost every other map is....this is not the output of a particularly competent team
Just saw solo. Despite it feeling kind of generic, I really liked it for what it was. I really hope we get some good content next month.
Absolutely. The people at DICE they picked to be in charge of Battlefront however will do everything in their power to not do this, for reasons only they can imagine.
Just completed the campaign it was nice to playing as multiple characters but it very short as soon as you start enjoying playing as hero it was over to quickly. The team mates AI was so bad they hardly fired their weapon and when they did there shot thin air... Its a shame everything seems half arsed i hope who ever gets the next star wars license actually cares about creating a game for the fans.
I've very rarely played GA but it finally clicked and I'm actually having fun with it now. How close was this match?
Three against four in HvV but we only need one more to win and the opposition need six and we still didn't win because my remaining two teammates just keep rushing them on their own when they're the target. Is there something in my settings that I can switch on so I don't keep getting matched up with these complete idiots.
You can actually see them in the beginning of the video. It's the cards I use in HvV, most likely not optimal for GA. I use both cards that upgrade the mines and the card that makes the smoke heal you. That match was incredible because we were down to 1 last kill before we lost just as I planted the bomb! It was funny because I entered the match mid game, when a few top players had ~8k points already, but I ended up first.
Ah I remember this game's promises. "Change will be a constant" they said. Season 2 coming soon! (back in january, mind you). We're now 6/7 months in and there's been barely any content of worth. Makes me shudder for how they will handle BFV.
Nah, BF V has the actual good DICE team behind it. They stuck the amateurs on this game and let the Star Wars name carry it as far as it could
There's also no way they're going to do their own baby dirty either. I enjoyed Star Wars Battlefront 2015 a lot, but having played Battlefield 1 lately which came one year right after the former game, there is just leagues more effort evident in that game even when you take out all the premium stuff.

Ever since the last update the game has been routing my connection through the Singapore datacenter on PS4. I'm not alone, a bunch of other people are reporting the same issue.
At the rate they're going, assault class will get instantly regenerating grenades at 5x normal damage for a couple months.
I think Han will be getting two somebody found a text string for Han's Corellian appearance in the game files so it's probably what he wears at start of the film and the other one will be his brown jacket appearance.
I remember mulling over if I should spend crafting parts to level up and get an emote for Lando, but decided against it, as I thought it would be easily unlockable. :/
It really is a missed opportunity to not make emotes available through crystals, just like the hero skins. I would be more than happy to spend a few bucks on some nice hero emotes.
I have one for Lando I got from a crate. I am also terrible because I spam emotes on kills in HvV. I am scum :(
I love watching guys like you, then. I was playing against an all-epic carded Bossk the other day. Guy kept spamming emotes when he killed me. Half the time, he wasn't paying attention and would get pasted by one of my teammates while he was showboating.
Yup, that's me all over. Usually some uncarded guy comes and smokes me. Just makes it all the better XD
I have maybe about 60% of the hero emotes from buying hundreds of thousands of crates pre-2.0 lol. I had all the trooper emotes which is why I haven't been really fussed about getting on for those challenges. That said I'm home today and the Fortnite weekly challenges got pushed to Thursday, so decided to play this game proper for the first time in a bit and try to knock out all of these Hero Showdown challenges that are all up at the same time. I actually got a competent teammate and we've just been rolling dudes for like 45 minutes, it's pretty great. I still stand by my statements that HvV/HS are garbage BUT with a good/competent team it's an alright time. The problem is that doesn't usually happen in these modes. Honestly if they just added team rebalancing and squad spawns I'd be pretty happy at this point, some of the QoL updates have been pretty good. Edit: haha, got off HS since I got the challenges done and that baller random sent me a friend request. You're not on right now are you Bauer? This guy was doing the most ridiculous shit as Lando I've seen. I think between the ~8 or so games we played together we died a total of like 4 times.
Lol so apparently the patch broke Palpatine's chain lightning and re-broke / failed to fix Maul's throw AAA developer, I'm sure they'll crank out a functional conquest mode any day now
Finally hit 50 this morning to coincide with the hotfix. Achievement stuck at 98%. Welp. edit: finally popped at random before a match. Yay!

Except for #1 and #8 I've been having all of those issues for literally months/since launch. #1 was working fine for me in Hero Showdown but I'm not sure if they're referencing it specifically not working against troopers and not heroes. Edit: Decided to play for a few hours across GA/HvV and had a good time for a bit, but then lack of team rebalancing and incompetent randoms quickly reminded me why I largely stopped playing. GA lobbies where the top 5-8 players are on the same team and it never rebalances is garbage, and HvV just has incredible swings based on player skill/competency (since it's a much smaller playercount). Still cannot emphasize how strongly I feel about them needing to cap the amount of health heroes can regain on kill. I watched a Darth Vader on Yavin in GA without exaggeration 100% carry his team through the first 3 phases while my team did fucking nothing. Then I finally got to be a hero on the last phase, killed him and 7 other heroes as Chewbacca. I wound up dying to the same guy who had picked Vader again, then he carried them to victory. It's fucking stupid. I still think a timer is a bad idea (unless you add to the timer with getting kills/score but even then ehhh), but they've got to do something to limit certain heroes being able to just completely curbstomp for very extended periods of time if you're competent. Wookie Warrior still needs to be nerfed (I solo'd a Bossk and Phasma earlier with one and killed both of them), all other special units need to be buffed, and I think they need to reduce hero cost a bit to correspond with lower possible health regen at 50% or something.
im having luck using the specialist gun, the one that makes bleed damage. i actually managed to make heroes back away and run from me, but i need some players back up because it does nothing to regular troops. people are not used to being attacked by it so maybe when i hit them they freak out and run, no one wants to die as a hero in this game, they prefer to run.
