It might be possible that it wears off as time goes on. But for now i'm feeling that way, i'm enjoying all modes immensely.
I wish I could attempt a snowspeeder takedown. I've only ever seen Hoth once in the entire time I've owned the game.
One tweak for the game I hope to see is duplicates counting towards the star card level. Think I've gotten about 6 duplicates for the same 2 cards on the Han Millennium Falcon, and some of the Starfighter classes are in the same boat. It's just such an unnecessary slowdown to an already incredibly slow progression. Other things: Slow down the fire rate on Wookie Bowcaster Tweak both Supercharged AND Explosive Sentry. Nothing too drastic and should have their benefits intact. Tweak the Blurrg and the Assault Hose. Again, nothing drastic. Do something about force powers not working. Had to deal with a lot of issues today in HvV. Obviously roll hit detection vs lightsabres. Troops/gun heroes should be able to somewhat have a defense, but not to near invincibility. General server issues. Been a lot of past corner deaths, rubber banding, and other lag issues lately. Tweak rewards/challenges. The degree of grind is unnecessary and kills weapon experimentation, not to mention hurts being versatile in changing loadouts. Add Starcard load outs for at least Trooper classes. There's enough loading and other things getting in the way of the gameplay without having to constantly dive in a switch cards because someone dropped in an AT-ST or the objective has changed Buff some of the Hero ships, at least in DMG output. Ships like the Jedi Intercepter and the Hero A Wing could use some minor health buffs. Adjust some of the counters in Starfighter Assault. I've noticed some maps are really harsh with the reinforcement counter/objective health and need some tweaking. Buff Phasma, Kylo, and maybe Yoda (physical attack for Yoda). Hate to say it, but perhaps decreas the fire rate or induce some cooldwn for Leia's alt-fire. It doesn't have a ton of use outside of Crait, so maybe it doesn't, but it probably shouldn't be so effective at the level that it is. Outside of the patch, I do want to see some DBL credit/XP weekends rolling in. It's long overdue compared to the competition out there, and it can't harm their progression system (which deserves plenty of harm IMO) with how stacked it is against the player.
Patch predictions: It will be weak. Spartancarver will melt down. People will quit and or sell the game. The patch won't actually be as bad as everyone will make it out to be.
Since we're talking Dice here, this is what's going to happen: With the patch they're going to fix a lot of the issues that needed fixing, but going to horribly break something else in the process. Which is going to take a long time to correct. Oh, and I expect Iden to get a huge buff. They have a tendency to buff things that are underused.
Iden is not that underused. I face her pretty frequently in HvV and lately someone picks her up in GA too. She has pretty neat abilities and weapons. Eventually they should buff the droidshield..
No word about matchmaking. Reasonable tweaks to Wookie and Blurrg. Happy about the Blast map on Crait. Specialist slightly buffed, good. Why Boba Fett nerf? Expected a little bit more, but happy nonetheless.
Not anywhere near as far reaching as I would have hoped on those changes. Guess I'll have to see how it shakes out - villains outside of Maul still feel like they need a massive buff to bring them in-line with heroes, though. Chewbacca is a fucking beast.
Hm, was expecting a decrease in point accumulation via vehicles for Crait somehow, but I ain’t complaining. Also I am gonna start slapping them silly with feedback regarding cosmetic customization.
No, he's definitely not OP - but he is slippery as all hell but super susceptible to half decent blaster heroes which the Heroes have in spades. Phasma, Bossk and Fett are nowhere near the levels of Finn, Solo, Leia, Lando and Chewbacca and it kinda sucks. Villains need Dengar more than ever :( This is also super disappointing. Villain ships are also lightyears behind Heroes. I like that Versio is Poe-lite but they're still way down - they don't even really have a tank like the Falcon (x2!!!) - I know Fett is supposed to fill that hole but, as anyone who flies that bucket will tell you, that's not the case at all.
Specialist buffs and Barrage improved. Neato. Early days I went with Barrage over Personal Shield but it was just poo. Now it might actually kill someone.
Really 'meh' patch. Only thing good about it is potentially the Wookiee nerfs, but I even doubt they fixed the rolling during overload. The blurg nerfs are inconsequential because nobody uses the explosive shot mod, recoil + burst is still gonna be out there and it's still gonna be ridiculous. Nerfs to supercharged are very minor - nothing in regard to heroes actually being able to deflect them. Scope glint on the EL16 and A280? Wtf? Even without the scope mods? I mean I don't play Boba Fett a whole bunch, but he already seemed weak after the last nerfs. Then give him this massive nerf in this patch without any compensation buffs to his lackluster EE-3 or something. Nothing in regard to rolling and force powers + no buffs for the severely underpowered Luke and Kylo. Just meh all around.
No Palp nerf is a bit mindblowing. Last night a Palpatine on Kashyyk GA that single handedly won his team the round. We were dominating his team but no one could seem to focus fire him down before he'd heal up. At one point, he would chase me on my AT-RT because the lightning lock-on would just burn me down, leaving my walker untouched while I couldn't deal enough damage fast enough to kill him nor have the manoeuvrability/speed to get away before I died. You couldn't even defend the last points because Dark Aura and lightning would just melt you through the crates. He ended the match with 96 elims. The second placed person on his team had 17, a total solo carry. >_>
Also why is Iden on the villain team? It makes no sense? Like, 90% of your playtime with her is spent as a Rebel/Republic goon XD
So they give me nice finn cards to get me to use him and find out how great he is then nerf the crap out of him. Great! Back to leia who remains mysteriously intact and amazing. I mean yeah he was nasty in HvV but even so hardly anyone actually used him. Grumble grumble.
Usually the people who realized how good Finn was actuallu played him in HvV. Otherwise, its usually Luke, Rey, Yoda, and Chewie. Because Lightsabers. They nerfed Boba though
yup true about finn but still hardly ever see him used. He is usually either top score or missing. Mostly missing. Boba nerf is a weird one for sure. Not as if he is some unstoppable force like palp or leia in GA or even any good in HvV unless you want to hide. The other sides gun heroes melt the bugger.
Posts on reddit suggest there have been some other unlisted tweaks: Mos Eisley now has a night map. the Milestone of weapons' mod is decreased from 50/150/250 to 25/75/150 the weapons Milestone of each class are now 50/200/400 When you get a Milestone, a pop up appears in game letting you know. Anyone confirm?
If you got a good rocket barrage in, their health instantly melted. Of course, half the time I miss cuz of Rey's mind trick. Lol.
Not sure what they mean with the description where exactly Blast on Crait is gonna happen. The area between second and third phase or between second and first phase in GA?

Guess I'm yet to meet a good boba in HvV. The ones I see die a lot and don't score many points then rage quit or swap to someone else.
Here's another batch of unreleased patch notes. Overload greatly reduces recoil for better weapon handling while this ability is active. AT-ST is now available in the first phase of Jakku. Defender star card doesn't give points anymore in a vehicle. The ski speeder on Crait now requires 200 battle points to spawn.
Fett nerf seems entirely unnecessary with there being nothing to compensate. Finn nerf also seems a tad heavy handed, but I'll check it out later for myself. The Phasma 'buff' is pretty poor, but DICE. Everything else sounds okay, plus a new map, ship (poor as it is), and map varient. Hopefully the rolling and HDR issues are under bug fixes, and the stability fixes cut down on the rubber banding. Really happy to see weapon and mod unlock numbers adjusted.
This Boba Fett flew outside of the map in this match I was just in, nobody could reach him but they couldn't take out our target, either. Made the match last for what felt like half an hour, got 30k points and 600+ credits in the end. The heroes that I use, Phasma and Lando, sort of feel weird now, hopefully it's just placebo as they shouldn't have been changed much.
I missed the part where Iden's TIE costs 5k to unlock... shouldn't have bought crates full of dupes last night >_<
The fact that after Phasma and Finn being unlocked it's not immediately available is terrible. Can't wait to grind 15k for each new hero if they eventually add some more...
I finished the MP challenges so am sat on 600+ crystals right now, hoping I can buy stuff outright whenever the customisation stuff comes through.
Seems just as bad as ever to me but I suck with saber guys in GA. You need an expert complainer to test it :D
