You know Tobias is going to start really wilding out, and then you got Eve's bosses coming in. I bet they want to go scorched earth
I may have missed a few episodes, but what was the deal with Lady Eve embalming somebody while they were still alive during one of her first appearances?
Are there any leaks of the girls new suit? If it's a glow stick like her fathers then I have no hope for him to eventually get a new one.
Man Gambi is the shadow and Bodies just hitting the floor. "Do you believe in the resurrection Latavious?" Well that Nigga believes now XD
I read this with Kendrick's Blacker the Berry beat No lies detected. Anything to have Jefferson hook up with that big booty assistant principle.
This show continues to be the best "Arrowverse" show. I can't remember the last time I couldn't wait for next weeks episode in one of these shows. I'll do th- Oh.. well thanks. Guess we'll never get masks that actually hide identities in these shows.. lol
So what's that song that was playing in the intro. I was digging it until the Black Lightning theme ruined it.
Lala coming back isn't a total shot considering what we saw with Lady Eve, but the Lawanda tattoo was. The actor who played him was good, so it's nice to see him back. Poor Jill Scott getting hit with that Halo gun, the guy hiding in the coffin was pretty nice. Lynn giving up the ghost on trying to stop her family from being superheroes, good move for her character.
They not afraid to kill people, but now they are not afraid to bring people back... could be a mistake And what am I looking at t here... is that like Voodoo/magic or something?
Yeah, I hope they don't abuse the resurrection stuff. It's one of the things I hate about Arrow and Flash. Feels like we're already on our third Harrison Wells. Still, this was easily the best episode to date. The finale should be wild at this current rate.
All caught up and good lord. Does seem a little early to bring resurrection into the fold. It's like, they shockingly killed Lady Eve who was primed for future big bad status but then was like, "eh, turns out death isn't the biggest deal". Same with Tobias' sister. We'll see how it plays out.
It may have been Alice Smith, the lounge singer at the end. I don't know if the song is available yet.
God DAMN this show is something else. And Gambi's look is almost certainly a The Shadow reference; possibly one of the other old Mystery Men type vigilantes (Green Hornet, The Spirit), but between the new magical twist and Gambi's whole attitude, The Shadow feels like the best fit.
Jefferson's talk with Anissa in the end was great. EDIT: Spoiler: Also Shadow Board League of Shadows?
This last episode got dark real fast but the twist at the end makes me think that other characters resurrecting is bound to be the norm. I do like how the ramifications from past episodes are finally starting to pay off. Gambi showing his true colors in this episode then playing wolf in sheep's clothing to Jefferson, Anissa, and Lynn was great. Jefferson is bound to confront Gambi about Joey's death or at least question him. The lighting rifle scene was over the top but it's a cape show so that's expected. One of the things that bothered me this episode was that Jefferson was speaking in the hallway with his Black Lightning voice and the 2 kids walking in the background didn't even notice. I know, suspension of disbelief but still. By the way, the book that Jefferson was reading in the living room scene was A Brief History of Seven Killings: https://www.amazon.com/Brief-Histor...-1&keywords=a+brief+history+of+seven+killings
Amazon is turning it into a series. I'm waiting for his African Game of Thrones inspired, Rashomon styled fantasy trilogy.
Did some more searching and found that the song's called Always by her https://www.tunefind.com/show/black-lightning/season-1/57411 Can't find the song so like you said the song may not be out yet. I'll be ready when it is cause I was definitely feeling that song.
