I'll just re-post the following links: Recording Floral Fury: https://youtube.com/watch?v=v6h1vM9W2NM Recording High Seas Hi-jinx: https://youtube.com/watch?v=nxB2K9l6S6E Edit: One question directed at everyone and Teeth Which one do you like more, Inkwell Isle Three Standard or Piano? I love the Piano variant.
The case can be made for sure. It's truly incredible how great the music is, while at the same time being so true to the era it's evoking. Maybe more than anything in the game, the music blew away my expectations.
I don't wanna downplay Nier's win since I ain't played it, but I'm just gonna assume it was deserved if only because Square generally has S-tier music for their games. At least Cuphead won something!
I... I did it. I finally beat Dr. Kahl's Robot on Expert and thus completing the game on Expert. 90h45m and 800 deaths later and I have 200% in the game. It was a pretty nice challenge and just an awesome game.
The Cuphead game on iOS is fake and possibly malicious. Please don't buy it. We're working on getting it removed.
We've had dozens (if not hundreds) of ripoff games on iOS and Android, but this is the first time (that we know of) where someone actually tried to pose as us and put lifted assets onto a store. Such is life.
Hopefully the issue will be resolved without much more trouble. Going for the Pacifist Rank in Funhouse Frazzle while using touchscreen controls would't be the best idea anyway.
It's already gone. Apple usually takes a couple of days to respond, but they get froggy when negative press is involved.
Is there any chance of getting 'double-tap to dash' for remapping on an arcade stick, like Hard Corps? I've been using arcade sticks for these types of games for nearly 40 years, but I can't find a comfortable set-up and really don't like using a pad for arcade stuff.
I just started this. Turns out it runs (mostly) great on my Surface Pro 3, and I'm also using a Switch Pro Controller. Just got to the third area, and everything there is kicking my ass so far.
Bought this when it was on sale and loving it so far. But on a couple of occasions when I beat a boss or die the game will freeze up. Sometimes it will unfreeze and finish the level but last night it completely froze up and I had to restart the game. This is on OG Xbox One installed to an external drive. Anyone else have this issue?
I got this a few weeks ago and I'm closing in on the last couple achievements. I adore this game, only wish there was more of it. I think once the achievements are cleared I may start treating it as a sort of roguelike, seeing how many bosses I can kill on a fresh save before dying. It'd be really cool if that was an explicit mode in the game, with leaderboards and such. I've had this issue on Steam. It was pretty infrequent, but tonight it happened twice in a half-hour span. Both times I died trying to parry and it froze at that moment.
After hearing about how much they put on the line for this game, hopefully theyre taking some much needed time off. Day 0 for cuphead 2 tho.
diving back in after a couple of months, going for S and P ranks on everything. first four Ps down. really not looking forward to the dock run-n-gun level. that shit took me 100 tries the normal way.
Bought this just now. Played it for an hour in which I beat 4 bosses and 2 run n gun stages. I made the right choice on pulling the trigger. The game is ridiculously gorgeous (as if it needs to be said), the controls are incredibly tight (I like how you can't "overcommit" at all, not even with the airdash), the bosses are all ridiculously well designed in terms of mechanics and "flow" and the music is outstanding. This one is gonna shoot right up my GotY list, I can already tell :D
This game looks so amazing. I love the classic cartoon art style they went for. Thinking about buying this game on Steam. Its on sale right now during the Steam Winter Sale.
I'm having flashbacks of the pure rage I felt at the first form of the robot. God damn that pattern was straight evil.
I stopped playing temporarily because of that level. My God. It's so simple looking... but... it will crush your soul.
I beat the game a while back but I really need to get back to A rank all the levels on normal, already got all Ps. Not even going to try those evil S ranks, just got one for the achievement and that's it.
Funnily enough, for me it was easier to get the P than the regular clear because not trying to shoot everything really made me focus on dodging the shrimp in the last bit, it was like a sudden epiphany of clarity.
ha. yeah I just beat it. it actually only took me a handful of tries. the mountain-y level in the same area gave me more trouble. Pacifist achievement done. feelsgood joining the elite 1.3% now to flawlessly defeat 20 bosses on expert mode :( edit: the first plant boss was a piece of cake, but these frogs... especially once they turn into a slot machine... jeeeez
Are you a wizard? I must have been on that level on Expert for nearly an hour before I gave up. Once I get to the final phase, it's game over for me.
I'd only gotten to the final phase three times when I was playing it for an hour earlier in the week and died almost immediately every time. got there after like ten tries this time and got lucky with the slot machine, and lucky with my jumps. almost had a heart attack..... but I got through it. and then no S rank? I think I might be done with that dream edit: did it again: got a 2:33 exactly both times. I'm assuming I need to get it under 2:30? it better not be under 2:00.
Ah, that explains it; I beat the Dragon due to sheer luck. I think it is under 2 minutes. Maybe the Spread Shot is the key?
had to watch a youtube video of someone S-Ranking it to remember that super shot is a thing. good way to speed it up. I'm assuming I'm gonna have to use it for a lot of these bosses. after a few tries I nailed it, got like a 1:57, and then realized I'd only parried twice when the scorecard showed up. -___- took like another 20 tries, but I eventually got it. and then the blob stage only took me like 15-20 minutes to S rank. this is a whole different type of frustrating than just beating the game regularly. i love it.
Question about that auto-parry item: does it give you a free first parry of every jump? Or is it just one free for the whole fight? I don't think anything will get me to replace Smoke Bomb either way, though.
My buddies kid just beat Cuphead on expert. How the fuck is that even possible??? Can't even beat it on easy. Dammit!
So I'm about 70% complete now and I'm kind of thinking about moving on to other games because my backlog is growing so quickly. For those of you who finished the game, was it gratifying? I kind of feel like I've seen what the game essentially has to offer.
Is there a difference between co-op and solo like the amount of enemies and stuff like that? I started playing it but will probably continue solo because my friends didn't like it much.
I've beaten the game three times: normal, hard, and full S-Rank. I guess it depends on the type of player you are, but for me there was something extremely satisfying about incrementally perfecting my approach to each boss until I pulled off a success. Each boss feels distinct enough that it's not just going through the motions by the end--even little things like weapon selection start to matter a lot when trying for flawless victories.
Honestly I found it much easier playing it solo. Co-op was pretty hectic, kept confusing which character I was and the boss HP definitely increases.
I just beat this tonight. Honestly, it might have been a little too hard for my tastes-I had to beat my head against Grim Matchsticks and the Devil for several hours apiece-but I'm past my prime and fighting a cold, so it might be that I just suck. That said, I'm satisfied with what I've accomplished. The mere thought of attempting to get high ranks on everything is enough to make my hand ache.
Finally stuck. The damn roller coaster clown dude. I can get to the phase with the little penguins easily. It's all downhill from there. Also that damn bird.
