Netflix's original sci-fi offerings have been pretty lame up until this point IMO, but hopefully this one will be decent. It's good to see Michael Peña do a more dramatic role. And while I didn't care for Arrival, I thought the screenwriter did a pretty good job telling that particular story, so hopefully the script for this is pretty solid. The first half of the trailer reminds me of Take Shelter. I'm hoping the action/invasion/pew-pew-pew stuff that seems to ensue doesn't end up being the weakest part of the film.
I stopped the trailer a minute in, as these usually give away the entire plot. Will tune in to support my fellow hispanic!
Gotta be honest, looked kinda mehhhh. But it's starring Pena, Colter, and Caplan, so I'm going to give it a shot. All 3 are interesting actors.
Will probably watch for Michael Peña. I really need to watch more of his stuff after crushing on him in End of Watch.
We'll already know what's coming after we watch How It Ends on July 13th. Netflix loves their end of the world fantasy stories.
Hounds of Love was a great horror film, so seeing the director do this gives me a little hope it'll be decent.
It's hard to get excited about this movie, knowing that like half of it is going to be this guy having dreams/visions but nobody believes him.
Sure, I'll watch a film, that a studio (Universal) deemed to not be of good enough quality to release theatrically, on Netflix. It's not as if it's going to cost me anything.., beyond the Netflix subscription obviously.
This is the weirdest Marvel crossover. I do hope this gives Pena more worth, I just hope this is better than his last dramatic role.
Looks awful in the way I love. Sure, I wish Netflix would make better sci fi movies but until that happens...
