Being diagnosed was a life changing moment for me. When a doctor looks you in the eye and says you have cancer, it gives you a whole different perspective. Everyone, no matter age or income, should be able to go to the doctor without having to go bankrupt in the process.

Clarke Tucker is a seventh generation Arkansan and State Representative who is seeking to represent the good people of Arkansas’s 2nd Congressional District. As a young survivor of cancer, Clarke is running because he can no longer stand by and watch our leaders in Washington drive up healthcare costs and use children’s health insurance as a bargaining chip. He believes the partisan division crippling our government and preventing real progress has gone on long enough.

Clarke grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Central High, where he played baseball and served as Central High Student Body President. A lifelong Razorback fan, Clarke earned his law degree at the University of Arkansas, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Arkansas Law Review.

As a two-term State Legislator representing Arkansas’s 35th House District and a community leader of Little Rock, Clarke has worked on a bipartisan basis to protect and improve access to healthcare through Arkansas Works, ensure paid maternity leave for state employees, invest in pre-K, and lower taxes for middle class Arkansans and veterans.

He lives in Little Rock with his wife Toni and their two very active kids, Ellis and Mari Francis.
