Ruby Rose will play Batwoman

Lol I knew the face looked familiar but couldn't really get a lock on.

Her acting is meh though.

lol it's CW, on any other network many of the CW comic book shows wouldn't see a season 2..

 

I like this casting, excited to see how this turns out.

 

I've only seen her work in John Wick 2 and I remember being largely indifferent in regard to her. Good they let us know who they cast but I can't really comment if this is good or not.

They didn't kill off CW Flash just because DCMCU got Flash casted. It has been a thing for a while now that CW stuff and DCMCU aren't connected in any way.

CW shows do have good actresses/actors, it's not all about the superhero stuff lol

 

I wonder how many people here saying the CW only puts out trash and any actor is good enough ever bothered to watch the shows that actually get critical acclaim, such as Jane the Virgin, iZombie, Black Lightning and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Even stuff like Legends of Tomorrow which started out pretty bad has grown into being a fun, campy show, particularly this season where it completely stopped taking itself seriously.

Nowadays The CW has better programming than a lot of networks, there's more to it than generic superhero shows and crappy teen dramas. Which isn't to say this Batwoman show will be any good, but that's not because of the network. Netflix has plenty of high quality premium shows, yet most of Marvel's stuff turned out terrible.

They've thrown references but the showrunner is dead set on BL being its own thing.

 

Honestly, the biggest mark against the CW is that they let shows go on too long. They get to a major ending or turning point and then don't know what to do from there. Most of them end up having a few rough seasons before they find their way again.

They definitely referenced Supergirl and Vixen a few episodes in.

 

That's a minimum for cw if Supergirl will have 4 season at minimum batwoman will do fine

 

She was ok in OitnB.
I don't really mind for the tv show.

If this was the movie, not sure how I feel. If she has a super good dance and fight background I feel like she can pull it off, she was super confident in OitnB

The Batwoman design is absolutely amazing.
I honestly hope they can atleast translate this design into live action well enough.

But Ruby Rose being the actress they have is terrible casting.
Prey for alot of ADR and her face being covered 90% of the time.

Because any scenes with her out of costume are gonna be horrible.

 

As a Batwoman fan I don't know what to think about this since I'm not a big fan of the stuff I've seen her in but maybe she will surprise me.

 

A superhero

 

I've liked her in everything, but she's been typecast in supporting tough girl roles. This should be a chance to see if she actually has some range.

 

I'm the one who shouldn't be taking you seriously, you always get upset when someone (rightfully) badmouths CW.
