Qualification for the National

The National features a total of 15 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams. Both men’s and women’s divisions include the top 14 teams based on the World Curling Tour’s Order of Merit total ranking system as of Nov. 5, 2018, plus 1 sponsor’s exemption.

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling reserves the right to implement a sponsor’s exemption in both the men’s and women’s fields in which one spot could be filled at their discretion. If the series chooses not to implement the sponsor’s exemption, the next-ranked team on the OOM rankings will receive an invite.

In the event a team declines their invitation, the next-ranked team on the OOM will be invited until the field is complete.
