Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia confirms they have parted ways with Muhsin Ertugral

Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has confirmed they have parted ways with head coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Ertugral was appointed in December after the Team of Choice let go of Fadlu Davids and now barely a month into the new year, the bottom-of-the-table club has released another coach.

Ertugral leaves Maritzburg without winning a game. With him at the helm, Maritzburg lost four league matches in a row, against Golden Arrows, Free State Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United.

On Sunday they were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by National First Division side Witbank Spurs, who are coached by former Bafana Bafana mentor Shakes Mashaba.

“Basically we’ve come to a mutual agreement. The job was disastrous and we did not get a win yet under Muhsin, so myself and Muhsin came to an agreement that is in his interests and our interests - that we need to part ways,” Kadodia says.
