Mawjoudin Queer Film Festival
Mawjoudin’s queer film festival is a cinematographic and artistic initiative that emerged from Cinexist, the cinema club of the Tunisian NGO Mawjoudin (We Exist). The not-for-profit organization works towards achieving human and sexual rights for LGBTQI+ individuals and other marginalized groups through advocacy, capacity building, awareness raising, lobbying and arts.
Our approach is inclusive and intersectional, hence, we want to shed the light through our Queer Film Festival on every human cause centered around queer identities and people, mainly from the global south. This year’s edition will host multidisciplinary works of art, panels and workshops but the 7th art will remain at the forefront.
