Wikipedia, like all Wikis, is filled with millions of articles on brown squishy stuff that nobody cares about (You're most likely to find something more interesting floating in your toilet). To take random examples such as their millionth and two millionth articles, not only do you realize that it's unfunny, but also that nobody gives a fucking fuck. On the other hand, most of the internet doesn't give a fuck about ED, so it all balances out.

On the internet, indifference (the emotional version of Shit no one cares about) is used by heartless unforgiving Anons to score lulz off people trying to make other people give a shit. It usually starts with OP posting a whiny, gay problem or proud accomplishment hoping for some advice, back-patting or any kind of positive input from someone whom he hopes may be stupider than him. From here on, our hard-trolling anon has a wide assortment of tactics to tell OP that nobody gives a fuck about him.

The peanut gallery ignores OP completely and goes on to discuss something else entirely, leaving OP with his dick in a glory hole with noone on the other side.
Frequently, OP will post his whiny, gay problem with an unrelated pic (and the classic troll bait: "pic unrelated" after the preamble) at which point, the subsequent posters in the thread will ignore whatever OP is bitching/bragging about and start discussing the unrelated picture (or something in it).
Many simply don't like to be reminded of the faggotry that has been swirling around /b/. The fight between moralfags and hatefags has reached the point where even the adolescent sociopaths of 4chan do not want to speak of it.
