Bee True Assembly

Under the direction of Jeanie Ruban, School Counselor, Peace Pals/United Neighbors concluded with a friendship session which also included pillow making! This effort allowed HHS and APM students to work collaboratively throughout the school year.

PreK students and families enjoyed a Preschool Family Night full of activities to help students with literacy and mathematics.

School Resource Officers Bryan Arrington & Shakeema Wilson participated in Read Across America by reading to our scholars.

Students in Mrs. Rodrigues's first grade class learned about static electricity with balloons and robots as part of STEAM lessons.

Students from Mrs. Diggs and Mrs. Arias' class visited Hillside High School to partner with Ms. Bartholomew’s African-American Studies class. The students read books, created a craft, took a tour of the building and spoke to high school students about their experiences. The high school students have been mentors and serve as an inspiration to Hillside's future comets.

Students in Mrs. Rodrigues's first grade class practiced STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) by making sleds out of pipe cleaners and craft sticks. They then tested their sleds on a variety of ramps they created.

Students in Mrs. Zimmerman's pre-k classroom enjoyed yoga as part of their brain break between learning.

Students from Mrs. Zimmerman's pre-k class rocked the STEAM Station at A.P. Morris where they can experience a variety of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics activities.

Students from Mrs. Greenblatt & Mrs. Crescitelli's pre-k room helped to put together our garden as part of our grant.

Students from Mrs. Cardoso's kindergarten class visit the STEAM Station to learn about science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
