Red Maryland Endorsement: Neil Parrott for Congress, District 6

For years, Maryland’s 6th Congressional District has been in Democratic hands. Despite being a primarily rural district, the district has been gerrymandered to benefit liberal Democrats such as John Delaney, and now David Trone.

What Republicans in the District 6 need is a strong conservative challenger with clear policy differences between himself and the incumbent. This year, the choice is clear.

Neil Parrott has a strong record of conservative advocacy as a member of the House of Delegates. He has stood up for his district, stood up for conservative values, and stood up against the liberal Democrats in Annapolis. He has a strong conservative platform: he’s 100% pro-life, supports defunding Planned Parenthood, supports enforcing existing immigration laws, opposes government solutions to health care, and wants to reduce our taxes.

Just as important as his conservative platform is Parrott’s conservative record of activism. In each campaign, Parrott has run strong, well-funded campaigns with plenty of grassroots support. But more importantly, he has been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to fighting the runaway left in Annapolis. Delegate Parrott created MDPetitions.com, an online portal that allowed conservatives to successfully petition runaway left-wing legislative laws to the ballot, giving the people more of a voice. While ultimately those petition drives did not overturn the laws, they did give people a greater voice in their government.
