Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris

The Sword Art Online Alicization War of the Underworld anime isn't the only SAO-related media being hit with a delay. Bandai Namco's upcoming game, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, has also been pushed back, trading in its late May release plan for a July 10 launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the west.

The Japanese version will arrive a day earlier on July 9. Here's what executive producer Yosuke Futami had to say about the delay:

"We have been working hard on SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris for our fans who are looking forward to the next SWORD ART ONLINE title … Due to the ongoing world events, we have made the difficult decision to move the release date of SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris to July 10, 2020. We believe that this is the best way to ensure that SWORD ART ONLINE fans are delivered the best SWORD ART ONLINE Alicization Lycoris experience.”
