Voters in 48 states and territories will have the ability to cast a vote for Hawkins/Walker.  We will be on the ballot in 30 states (including Washington DC and Guam) and conducting a write-in campaign in 17 states. While Howie (but not Angela) has been placed on the ballot in Pennsylvania, that ruling has been appealed and remains unresolved.  Only voters in Louisiana (where we have a legal challenge), Nevada (where we have a legal challenge), Oklahoma (where we have a legal challenge), and South Dakota will not be able to vote for our campaign.

But what is “ballot access”? Ballot access relates to the laws and regulations regarding who is included on an election ballot. Many states have obstructive laws designed to keep third party and independent candidates off the ballot. Some states require up to 130,000 valid petition signatures to get on the ballot. In many cases local candidate’s ability to be on the ballot is directly tied to our performance in the Presidential election. Some states require 2%,5%, all the way up to 25% in the Presidential race in order to maintain your statewide ballot line, as well as your ability to field state and local candidates. Ballot status Challenged in Pennsylvania

Despite turning in far over the requirement (8,300), our ballot status in Pennsylvania have been challenged by the Democrats. This means that we must continue our fight for our democratic right to appear on the ballot and ensure that millions of voters have a real progressive choice in 2020!
