MIDNIGHT ‘MELTDOWN’!

The band delight their hardcore fans with new songs and a few golden oldies...

ASH celebrated the release of their new album ‘MELTDOWN’ with a midnight gig and signing session in LONDON last night (May 16).

Four hundred fans, including ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ director Edgar Wright (aka guitaristCharlotte Hatherley’s boyfriend), and ‘Little Britain’ star David Walliams packed into the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street. The quartet ripped through a 50-minute set consisting mostly of new tracks before signing CDs, videos and even the odd shoe for the queuing punters.

Bassist Mark Hamilton revealed the band’s motivation for the set: “We wanted to celebrate the release of our album obviously but I wanted to go a little DVD run while I’m here and get some games for my X-Box too.”
